I have absolutely no intention of pool hopping, other than the "legal" hop between POR and POFQ duirng our upcoming trip. How embarassing it would be to you and especially your kids to be "pulled" from the pool. But how do they catch people in the first place? I have been to the Swan and WL and can not remember anyone checking room cards.

Sometimes they check, sometimes they don't. It sounds like occasionally it depends on whether the pool is very busy or not.

They cehck ID's. At SAB they give everyone a wristband. They have definitely started to crack down on it more in the past year. We've seen them "card" people at the Polynesian, SAB, BW and AKL pools this year.

I'm sorry, but pool hopping sounds like such a pain in the neck! You can't take the WDW buses from resort to resort unless you link up at TTC, DTD, or one of the parks so you're in for a long trip. Otherwise, you have to drive your own car from one pool to your resort with wet suits. All WDW pools are great, no matter the resort, so what is the attraction? And please don't tell me the slides. As an adult, that not a big enough deal, and I couldn't imagine anyone's kids demanding to go to the tallest slide in WDW :D !

Security asked to see our ID's when we stayed at WL. (DH and I). It was funny because we weren't wreaking havoc, but they did check everyone elses too.

Gosh, could you imagine! You are with your family and swimming and having fun and then security is ecorting you out of the hotle! Too embarrising. I can see why some people would pool hop though. The All Stars and POP don't have water slides. So I could see why people do it. I wouldn't dare, if we got caught my husband would die of embarressment! And it's breaking the rules.

Really BonBon? That's good to hear. We saw people gather up their stuff after swimming at WL and heading back to Ft. Wilderness.
