I've been seeing some posts about how some of the WDW treats are visually attractive(especially the cupcakes) but don't actually taste all that great. How about the beautiful variety of candied/caramel/decorated apples available around the property. They look absolutely stunning, but does the taste live up? :earsboy:

The fresh caramel apples from Kuche in Germany are BLISS! and anywhere you get an apple they will slice it and put it in a container for you :)

We bought a regular candy apply from Goofy's Candy Co. (in DTD) last year and I didn't go crazy for it (and I love love love candy apples!). The apple wasn't very fresh, so rather than having a good crunch, it was soggy. Could have just been an off day though!

I had my fair share of caramel apples in October and my favorite was from Goofy's at DTD. I had at least 3 of them from there and every single one was perfect. I already have many more in my plans for June!

I second these :thumbsup2. I had one in January (they did cut it in quarters for me) and the apple was crisp, the caramel was really chewy and yummy, and the apple itself was a little tart but not too tart, just the right kind of tart for a caramel apple. It held up really well for a couple of days afterwards, just as long I kept it in the fridge. I can't wait to get another one in September :cloud9:.

I've always wanted to try the candy apples cause how good they look. I just never bought one cause I hate eating them full, I'm too messy. lol. Just wondering though if they will cut them at all locations or just in Germany? If at all places then I will definitely put that on my to get list in October.

I've got some at main street bakery and they were soo good! They cut it in slices for me.

When I got one in October, I didn't think to ask, she hubby and I were watching MNSSHP parade trying to eat it. I smartened up in January and had it cut. Got it on the way out of the park and snacked on it on the way back to our hotel and when we got back. YUMMY!

It is tradition that me,dh,and dd share a minnie or mickey head one from Goofy's-I get a marshmallow ear!We usually sit in the hotel and hack at the thing with a plastic knife-where there is a will there is a way:lmao:They are yummy

DH gets the caramel apples with all the chocolate and candy pieces on it at Goofy's. He says it's good, he gets one nearly every trip.

Apple Pie Caramel Apples!!! I am soo picky and these are the bomb. firm, juicy, crisp green apples, dipped in caramel, then in white chocolate and rolled in finely ground graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon.

Thanks for all the replies! I think I'll try one next trip. If they are as good as they say, that will be one...per day(keeps the doctor away, etc.):earsboy:
