How do the discounts work??

If I book a package through AAA for next year and then my Disney Visa card offers free dining, am I still eligible to get the free dining? Will the price of my room go up if I switch to free dining? Would I contact Disney for the free dining or my AAA agent?

I have been lurking on these boards to get as much information as possible. We have never been to Disney and I want to make sure I understand it all before I start "officially" planning.

It's one discount or the other; Disney won't allow you to stack them.

But you can switch them.

I started with the AAA discount, booked through my AAA agent. When I lucked into a PIN code, I called him with the info and he switched the reservation. For us, it entailed changing resorts as well as the code (Since there were no PIN rooms left at the Contemporary when we got our postcard.) He called me with the monorail options that were available ("Poly: pay $500 less with the code, Grand Floridian, save $200 with the code.)

It was all incredibly easy on my part.
