We are thinking about adding three days to our Vacation.
There were no free dining rooms left for the days.
We thought it might be fun to stay at a different resort
for a few days. Not sure how it works.:confused3

So, how does it work with your park tickets?
Can I just add the days to the old package tickets.
How do you switch resorts?
Do you have to bring your own luggage or do they
bring it to the new resort for you?

Any splitting advice... Help...
TIA:goodvibes

Bell services will move your luggage for you, I'm not sure how the tickets work, but you should just be able to add days. We do a split stay every time we visit, and enjoy it very much. As far as getting there, if you have a car, yo can simply drive over, if not, take a bus to any major theme park or DTD, then get on your new resort's bus from there. I am not sure where you are staying, but you might be able to get on a boat or monorail and get there easier.

Hope this helps.

We love split-stays because we feel like we get 2 vacations in one!

Yes, you can just add on days to your tickets.

We usually rent a car, so we take our luggage with us, but Bell Services will transfer luggage from one Disney resort to another. We check out in the morning, spend most of the day at TL or BB (just our choice since it's more relaxing than the major parks and we get our swim time this way), then head over to the new hotel and check in.

You aren't guaranteed early check-in at the hotel, so we try to have the day planned out so we dont NEED the room early, just in case.

Enjoy!:)

If you don't want to go to a water park or theme park, which pool can you use. Can you keep using the pool after check out or do you go to the next resort and check in early and use it's pool. I know you may not have a room yet, but dont you get to use there pool?

Thanks....
I'm waiting for the September Reduced Rates to come out.
Then we will decide where to stay.
We are staying at POP for 7 days.
I would love to try a moderate or even a deluxe...:yay:
for three nights...
The price of the flight home is the same...
Tickets are only about $5 extra dollars a day...
So the only real cost is the room and food...
So, I thought... why go home on a Thursday???:rolleyes1

That's some good thinking! :thumbsup2 That is a great way to sample a more expensive resort and still making it a long trip without blowing the budget.

Actually at that amount of days I think each ticket is only about $2 extra per day. You can purchase the extra days on your tickets for the first part of the stay and they will still be good for the second part. Guest Services (also called Concierge Desk) at the second resort can put any unused days on your room keys at the second resort. The only thing would be if you want to do the dining plan on the second part. Then it has to be a package and you have to purchase at least a one day pass for that part - unless you have annual passes.

Disney considers these two separate reservations so you have to make down payments on each. We call them split stays but that is not a Disney term. They will gladly transport your luggage from one resort to another if you wish or you can bring them yourselves if you wish - and can.

As soon as you check in to a resort you have access to the facilities including swimming at their pools. You also have access to a resort's pools the day you check out so technically you can legally use two resort's pools in one day. At least that is my take.
