How Do Muster Drills Work for those who Meet at an Inside Location?

We have sailed twice before with DCL and both times our muster stations were located outdoors on Deck 4. I enjoyed those muster drills and how they were organized. LOL - I also liked that I could see the lifeboats hanging right there.

This cruise due to our stateroom location I have a feeling our muster drill location might be within the Walt Disney Theater. Just curious - how do the muster drills work for those inside? Is there still a line up by stateroom?

I'm just kinda interested to learn what parts will be similar and what parts might be different.

My experience, they direct you sit in a row and fill each row in order. I don't recall lining up by stateroom on deck 4, however. We just lined up as we arrived. After being checked in we were directed to line up by height in one line (tallest in back).

The drill itself is just the same, after check in they will do a demonstration of how to put on the life vest and go over other important information. Then you are dismissed.

There were 2 separate muster stations in the WDT. One on port side, one on starboard.

Us too. They made each of us check off our name on their iPad/tablet whatever, to make sure we were all there. We didn't even all show up at the same time (couple minutes different) so we did not sit together. It was nice to be in the theater. Comfortable. Easy to hear. Years ago we had the drill on deck. Cold. Windy. Hard to hear. Chaotic. Seemed to go on forever. This was nice. And over fairly quickly.

Like you, when we arrived at our station on Deck 4 we were asked to line up in order that we arrived (shortest to tallest) and not in stateroom order. I didn't check us off on a tablet or anything but I think they may have asked our stateroom number and marked it off on our behalf. It was almost 2 years ago so that's one thing that's a bit of a blur.

I've had muster drill stations in the theater and out on deck and much prefer when we are inside. It's much more comfortable, and it's easier on my DD who has autism. The information presented is the same. You are just sitting in a comfy chair in the nicely air conditioned theater rather than standing, squished together with other cruisers, in the heat out on deck.

Probably because all the people from your stateroom came at one time. In our case, when part of our party arrived first, they were asked if that was everyone from the cabin, when they said, "No" that's when they broke out the iPad to figure out who in our room wasn't there yet.

Our most recent DCL cruises (2015 & 2016) we handed one of our KTTW cards to the CM and they tapped it on their board to log what rooms were present. They do ask if everyone is there, and, if not, people were told once everyone in the room was present, they could present one KTTW card to log in.

When I did the Dream, we were mustered to a dining room. No arrangements of people particularly. Just gathered around roughly. Checked names off on an ipad.
