How do I put the commemorative luggage tags on??

Put one end of the clear loop through the tag, then bring the other end of the loop through the end that is through the tag and pull. That should secure it to the tag. Next wrap the loop around the suitcase handle and then put the tag through the loop and pull - should be secured to the suitcase. Will have to bend in the side of the tag a little to get it to fit through - also put it through the where the handle meet the suitcase at the thinnest part, makes it easier.

But there are no slits or anything on these new straps:confused3

Ok, I had to laugh when I saw the title of this thread. I never figured out how to put our luggage tags on, so now the kids use them as book markers :lmao:

I never would have realized that enough people had that difficult a time with a luggage tag that someone felt the need to make a youtube video LOL.:rotfl::happytv::lmao:

You know, I could never figure those things out either. I have a box of zip-ties at my house because they're handy things to have. I zip-tied my luggage tags to my luggage. I guess you might say I cheated. :)

Hmmm, zip ties sound like a good idea seeing as those 'straps' they provide are rather awkward and don't sit so well when they're on.....

Loved the video - he cracked me up!

Gotta say, I really dislike those newer luggage tags - so cheaply made, and rip easily. Thankfully, we have a bunch of the older ones so I use those - and feel better with them on my luggage that they won't tear off!
Used one of the new ones on my park bag last trip - hey, ya never know when will leave your bag behind on a bus or a ride, etc - and after a few days it broke in half!

Disney needs to know that they need to put a little more thought and money into their luggage tags. Why give us something that is hard to use and breaks easily???

Yes, I think the old ones are so much better too. The new ones are cheap!

is there a contact email or something so we can complain about these useless tags? Disney should know what the guests are thinking.

I still have my old "What will you celebrate?" luggage tags on my current roller bag. It has held up all these years and I fly an average of 2 trips/month. It was VERY difficult to get on and I remember being bound and determined to use the tag when they gave it to me. Yes I had to pull the strap open to the point I thought I would break it! But it was worth the trouble as that tag still takes me to my happy place. pixiedust:

I didn't have an issue but I double up with a zip tie because I travel a long distance and sometimes my bag looks like is been through a war zone and is missing tags. :confused3 I am afriad the tag will come off and magical express wont get it so I zip tie that sucker on for piece of mind ;)

We also are trying to put these tags on. How does disney know what resort we are at? There is no spot to put our name or hotel???

You are confusing the Disney luggage tags with the Magical Express baggage tags.

For the luggage tags: look in your brochure. In the back is a page of luggage tag inserts. Fill in the info and insert them into the space provided on the tags.

For the baggage tags for DME: If you didn't receive them with your Mickey Mail then they will come separately in the near future. They are yellow (IIRC) and resemble the baggage tags used by airlines. They will have a bar code which will give the DME baggage handlers the info that they need.
