How do I make a room request?

I've seen lots of comments about making room requests - a particular building at a resort etc - but how do you make them from UK? (I've booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company). Is there an email address or do you have to phone?

Did you book through Disney UK or USA??

If you booked through Disney UK on the 0870 number then i think you can call them back and put a request in.
When i booked mine i asked for specific blocks in the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans and a high floor. I was told there is no guarantee that i would get it but it had been put on my notes.

Yes, the best way of having your requests considered is to get them added to your reservation. The historic practice of faxing requests to the room assignor is considered a big no-no these days, albeit I'm sure it still goes on.

I have the same question regarding room requests. Has anyone had any success with either method?
Would it be too late to make a room request on check in?
We are staying in the Pop Century for 3 weeks during November and I would rather not spend the time over looking the carpark.

HI, WE STAYED AT CARRIBBEAN BEACH IN AUGUST, I DIDNT
PUT ANY REQUESTS AT TIME OF RESERVATION BUT 3 DAYS
BEFORE ARRIVING I SENT FAX JUST ASKING FOR A LITTLE PIXIE DUST.

I ASKED FOR A NEMO ROOM IN MARTINIQUE WHICH WERE JUST NEWLY

It's better to do it beforehand, Andrew*A. The room assignors are responsible for, well, assigning the rooms and they do it a few days ahead of your arrival. Once you're there, the check-in clerk can only meet your requests if there's availability on the system.

We have booked POFQ through hotelopia on line. Can we phone POFQ direct to make room reservations or is it best to recontact hotelopia to see if they can request rooms?

PS can anyone recommend particular sections in POFQ - we not there until April 09
