How do I get tshirt transfers to print without reversing the pattern?

Sorry to ask what I am sure has been asked before!

I have dark transfers to make some shirts. I am trying to print out my design. I know I am supposed to reverse the pattern to use dark transfers. Whenever I tell my printer that I am printing onto tshirt transfers, it reverses it for me and I can't figure out how to make it not reverse it.

Do I just say I am printing on something else? Is there an option somewhere that I am not seeing to not reverse?

I am using a Canon i850 printer. I have tried printing out of both Microsoft Windows photo viewer and Photoshop Elements.

My Lexmark does the same thing but there is a place on the "transfer" screen where I can click to not reverse. If you don't have that option then I would just print it in the best or photo option. Tell it you are using matte photo paper or other specialty paper. My HP does not have the transfer option so I just print in photo quality.

Just tell it to print on 8.5x11 matt or photo paper

Thanks! I wondered if it would be fine if I just told it that it was photo paper.
