How do I get to MK by 7 am....

I need to get to MK by 7:00 am to attend a YES class. Will the buses be running early enough for me to get there in time or do I need to call a cab? We will not have a car for this trip. TIA

Specifically on what date?

It depends on when the parks open. Buses start running 60 to 90 min before park opening. So if MK opens (or have Extra Magic hours) at 8 AM or earlier, you should be all set to take the bus (though it might be close....)

HOWEVER, if not, or you're not comfortable with "close"...you do have another option. Get SSR bell services to get you a Taxi to the Contemporary...then walk over to MK via the walkway. Give yourself some time with this option because, typically, you won't find cabs outside your resort that early. You'll need to give time for the cab to arrive, for the ride itself, and then for the walk over (5 to 10 min, tops).

I think the buses depend on what time the park opens. Without knowing more, if I was in your situation and absolutely needed to be someplace at a certain time, I would take a cab and not rely on Disney transportation. All the variables would make me too nervous and I would want to be in control of my timeline.

When we were there last week, the posted policy was that buses start 40 minutes before park opening.

We were at our stop at 8:15 am for our 9 am Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK on Wednesday, Jan 15. We waited about 20 minutes and just barely made it.

That may be their posted policy, but.....we were outside a good 60 min from park opening every day last week on our trip, and never waited more than 5 min for the bus to show up. I'm not sure..maybe it was the first bus of the morning...but it was def there just about an hour before posted park opening times.

Especially at MK and EPCOT, they run early. Even when the park opens at 9, they have breakfast ressies that start at 8 at CP and CRT and Akershus (an hour before park opening). Last Friday, MK opened at 9, and we were on a bus around 7:05 for breakfast at CP. Monday the 13th, we were on a bus to Epoct at about the same time for an 8 AM breakfast ressie.

In neither case were we amongst the first to arrive at the park entrances.

not sure a cab is going to help, as I think cabs only get you to the TTC not MK. you would still have to get from TTC to MK, not walkable. not sure how I would do this

If you're there for a class, then I assume there are a good number of people who are in the same boat as you are? I would get in touch with the event organizers and see if they have made arrangements for their attendees.

A 7 am event is not an everyday Disney opening, so I would not assume that standard Disney transportation options are going to be the best solution.

Otherwise, the class teacher may be wondering why all his students are late.
