How do I get to Boma?

I know that Boma is in the AKL. Aside from taking a bus to the AKL from a park, can I walk to AKL from Animal Kingdom?

No. The roadway is not set up for pedestrians at all. You'll have to take some sort of transport. As you know, the easiest will be the AKL bus out of AK, if you are at that park, of course.

Otherwise, you can transfer from the bus you are on, at DTD to the AKL bus.

If you are using WDW transport in the second scenario (needing to transfer) allow at least one hour before your ADR to get there on time.

This is why we always rent a vehicle - I can't imagine resort dining w/o one.

The only other option than bus is taxi.

The bus to AKL from AK is very, very quick. And upon leaving AKL after our dinner at Boma, a bus to AK literally pulled up as we were walking out the front door; we then transferred to our hotel (the Polynesian) after we gotto the AK. There were also several taxis waiting outside the hotel, if you're interested in saving a bit of time.

My last trip I I didn't rent a car and did a lot of resort dining. I found that if wasn't traveling from a park to the resort that getting a cab was quick and cheap. Much cheaper than renting a car - with the advantage that the cab takes you right to the gate or door of your resort - much closer than you could get with your car. If you count up the number of trips you would take by cab at $10 a trip versus $150 a week for a car plus taxes, gas, and insurance you will find which will be most economical for you.
