I took some photos the other day at Blue Horizions at Sea World, very bright sunny and hot day. I was trying to use the continuous shooting setting, so I was "out of the green" - and I obviously didn't have something right! I think some of the pics might be salvageable - I'm just not great at editing photos. If not - no big deal - I will re-take them another time, and I already have some great pics from last viewing of the show! The whales didn't behave so the show was shortened. Hmmmm - the whales at Believe last night were misbehaving last night... I guess there's something in the air this week!

PE is on my desktop computer which I have not had much time on since my guests arrived so I have not had a chance to experiment!

Here's an example:

Here's one from April.....

PE?? ELements?

I do most of my color balance adjustments in RAW and I do not use Elements, but I would try going to ajustments/Color(maybe balance). And slide the BLUE down(maybe towards yellow).

Thanks - I just need to kick my DD and DGN out of the guest room for a bit... I usually work with my pics in the evenings and late nights when I can't sleep... but can't when I have a guest in the guest room!)

ou can either try ICNet Filters Unlimited to play with the colour temp or go to Photoshop's filter emulation and make it warmer by using warming filters 85B or 81A if I remember correctly.

Using Google Picasa2 - Before (above) and After (below) - Warmify option - a bit better - I'm still going to try it in Photo Element to see what I can do.

Check your EXIF data The difference is the white balance is set to manual, the rest are set to auto. What was the white balance set to in the manual mode? I don't have this camera so don't know how it operates.

I will check it - these were the only photos that came out wrong! I am sure I hit something wrong in the bright sun that day!

Looking at the settings I would guess that the white balance was inadvertently set to an indoor setting to compensate for incandescent light. I made that mistake once when I got in a hurry and spent a few days adjusting in Photoshop and filter programs to try and fix it. While the pictures didn't turn out perfectly, I was able to adjust them to make them semi-normal looking by using the photo filters within Photoshop along with adjusting the color balance there. Best of luck with your pictures.

Same thing happened to us at DL in April. The wife was using the P&S and somehow flipped it to manual and the white balance got all out of whack. A dozen pics came out blue. She also flipped it to movie mode one time so we have a clip of her fidgeting with the camera at the Tiki Room. She now checks it everytime she pulls it out of the bag.
