How do I get from the AoA to the CR

We are going to Chef Mickey's while we are at Disney and never tried to get to another resort from a value before, not sure what to do? Advice Please!

Bus from Art of Animation resort to Magic Kingdom, walk (about 10 minutes from MK bus platforms) to Contemporary Resort.

Note that you could also take the monorail from MK to CR but the walk from the bus platform to the monorail platform is about half the distance of bus platform to CR and is off in the opposite direction geographically.

Nitpicking: If it is pouring rain you might try AoA to Hollywood Studios and take the CR bus from there, since the walk between bus platforms is much shorter, something like under one minute.

With the exception of bus routes (or the monorail route) that serve more than one resort, all trips from one resort to another require making a connection.

Keep in mind that this will take much longer than just taking the bus to MK and walking to the Contemporary.

We took the bus to Magic Kingdom and then walked over. Wasn't bad at all, ten minutes tops. As others have said, after getting off the bus at magic kingdom, walking to the monorail and waiting for it to come would probably take just as long, if not longer.

I concur that the best option is to take the bus to MK. The walk from the MK bag check area to CR valet station is about half a mile. The bus station is slightly closer to CR, so it'll be a smidgen shorter.

Another option is take a taxi. It'll be more expensive, but it can take you directly to the CR. I'd guess about $25 plus tip.

The most fun option (to me and if you have a lot of time), bus to Epcot then monorail to the TTC and monorail to CR. Lots of time, but there are monorail rides!
