How do I get a pin?

The way to get a pin is as follows. You have to go to the disney web site (disney.go.com) select parks and travel from the top menu. You have to create an account and start researching vacation packages. You can go through the whole process of where you want to stay and what kind of tickets you want and dining plans etc, etc. At the end of the process it will ask you if you want to book the vacation or save it for later. You want to save it. Your best bet is to research several different options for disney resorts and so on. Save three or four different vacation options. Give it about a month or so and your pin numbers will show up in your email accounts. Good luck:surfweb:

The pp should have added that pins are not automatic or guaranteed. Many, many people go through the steps llisted above and never receive a pin. It seems to be the luck of the draw. I don't want to be negative, but not everyone gets a pin ... it's like winning the Disney lottery. Good luck!

Yep........ ditto that.

If you got a PIN, book it. You can decide later on if you want to change the date or cancel it. I didn't know that I got a PIN with a very good deal, but I was waiting for a special credit card and the PIN got expired.

I was so regret... I could never got that kind of deal anymore...:worship::rotfl2:

So are you saying to go ahead and book with that PIN?? What if the PIN doens't include the days you need???:confused3

If a pin doesn't include the days you need then you don't want to book with that pin. I know one of the pp mentioned that the pins are given out at random, but I have received at least 4 different pins in the past 6 months. I received one in the early spring of 2010 which covered June/July/ and August. Around the middle of the summer I received one that covered the rest of the year.

Of course there were a few days that weren't covered. Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. I was traveling in January so I was out of luck on my pin, but my TA was able to get me the 40% off a deluxe anyway which (with a family of 5) allowed me to go from a suite at the all star to the polynesian.

Since I booked that trip six weeks ago I have received another two pins. One covered Jan 2 through mid April and then May 1st through June 6th. I also received another one that covered from the first week of February all the way through September. I can only advise you on what my experiences are, but I registered, saved several vacations, and ordered a DVD and the pins have been steadily coming ever since. Again I hope this helps, and if you don't get a pin try Kingdom Magic Travel Agency. They were able to get me my deal, and they have been great to work with.:cloud9:

And many others have done this and gotten........ nothing. Not that it hurts to try, but just know going into it that there it does not always do the trick.

I understand that these PINS are given out at random but if there is something that I can do to increase my chances of getting one. I'm all for that!!!:cool1:

IT WORKED! I went to Disney's website (which I'm already registered on) and priced & saved three different vacation scenarios (one value, one mod, one deluxe). I also requested the DVD planner and I downloaded the vacation planner (it was an option I found after I requested the DVD). Three days later...PIN CODE! I have never received one before. Now I'm only lamenting the fact that it's for Jan-June and we want to go in November. I think I'll wait until I hear the codes are out for that time period, and then I'll register my husband and do it all over again.
