I will have enough points for 3 round trip tickets with southwest but I need 4. Do I have to do 2 purchases- one with points, then one with credit card? Or can it be done in one transaction? I want to book online but I guess I could call if it would be easier.
Thanks!

In the past when I did this, I just did it as two separate transactions. The only problem is that if you don' t pay for EBCI then you have two separate confirmation numbers to enter in at the 24 hour mark to get boarding numbers, for us the second resulted in a late boarding letter(c). Then they say the family must board with the latest number so it stressed me out a bit. Honestly everything ended up being fine. Perhaps that is not an issue if you call

The bolded doesn't make sense. If you have 2 adults and two kids and the two adults and one child are 'A' and the other child 'C', can't you just swap? So one adult and the two kids board with the A passes and the second adult boards with the C?

I think they mean that if all 4 want to get on at the same time, the person with the C can not get on with the A group but the A people can wait on the C person. I plan to buy the single ticket for an adult and use the points for the other adult and 2 kids. :)
