How do I display rubber ducks?

DD collects those little rubber ducks like from Oriental Trading. She must have a few hundred of them.

Originally we had thought about putting them on the shelves in her room. Well, her collection outgrew the shelf space and her room is now her playroom.

Her bathroom is done in Ducks also. So we have the bathroom and her playroom to display them in but how do we do it?

Does anyone have any ideas besides sticking them on a shelf? TIA

How about doing hook and loop (velcro) on the bottom of the ducks and adding the other side to the ceiling or walls in the bathroom....where you can put them all over the place? I'd have a nice plain wall color and then add them instead of wallpaper or other decoration to the wall. Having them on velcro, will allow her to move them around the room instead of gluing them in place.

I like to look at model houses to get decorating ideas and something I've seen a lot is a high shelf that runs around the whole perimeter of a room about a foot from the ceiling.

They are so cute. How about alternating displaying them. Put out 1/4 of them now & in 3 months, change them, then in 3 more months, change again. When she takes them out she'll have fun remembering the ones she has & a year from now, she may not remember some of them. And you won't have to getting anymore & end up being stuck with 200+ when/if she loses interest.

I like the pool idea the best but DH won't go for that...trust me...I've tried.

I've given thought to the shelf way up high...but then you really wouldn't be able to see them. And we are short people...I'm under 5 foot. But it's still an option.

Alternating...yes we sorta do that now. See, since she has doubles and triples of some...some are in the bath tub. We have to alternate which ones get to go in the tub also.

The child loves her duck ducks.

Is it small rubber ducks? If so, could you display them in one of those wooden shot glass holders? I collect shot glasses and I think the ducks would fit in there.

Good luck! :)

How about a fish tank? Then you can buy colorful rocks, etc so she can design a little scene, no need for water either...

Just wanted to say hi to another fellow duck collector!

If it were my dd I would get a couple wall units similiar to this, (I have one for scrapbooking supplies) but I'm not sure if thats what you mean when you are talking about the shelves you already have.

What about a way to string them together and hang them from hooks on the ceiling.

If you like this shelf unit, check out Michael's Craft Store, they have the same thing & cheaper with a 40% or 50% discount coupon.
