How do I book??

I plan on booking a few differant dates for DCL in 2007 as the price is much cheaper to book early. I will then cancel the cruise(s) that don't work for us regarding dates. How and when should I book our resort stay? Is it cheaper to book way in advance? Are there cancelation charges before 60days? If a cheaper rate comes out do I just call and try to rebook if there is avalibility or do you get the new cheaper rate automaticaly? When can you book resorts for 2007? Any ideas?
