Hi,
I am just finding out about the Villian's Even on 8/23. I had planned that day to go to HS maybe in the morning until about 5pm or so. I asked a friend and she said generally this won't effect crowd levels since the party starts at 8pm. Should I change to another park for that day? I have never been there for Halloween or Christmas so I am not certain. Thanks so much!

If party guests can get into the park at 4 (like is typical with nighttime hard ticket events) then there may be more of them there in the late afternoon. Otherwise since the party doesn't start until after regular park closing, there won't be an issue, unless you find that party guests are going to decide they prefer to spend the entire day at DHS. If I had a ticket for the party I wouldn't spend the entire day there but others may think differently.

The deal with the parties at MK is that MK closes early on the nights they have them, so it's not recommended that guests without hoppers go on those days. the DHS party is different in that the park will not be closing early.

I know for the parties at MK, the day of the event will actually be less crowded because people usually will want to see MSEP/Wishes, and if that is not available they just go to a different park that day. If the Villiains Event cancels Fantasmic! then I might bet on lighter crowds.
