How do Gay Days affect crowds?

We might be planning a trip to WDW during 2006 gay days. I was wondering if anyone has been during this and how it affected the park crowds if we avoid the "chosen" park of the day that is listed on the Gay Days website? Are the crowds normal, heavier, or lighter. I was also wondering if anyone has been the second week of June and if the crowds that week are average summer attendance. Cany anyone help me please??

Hi there!

I was at WDW during Gay Days this year. I did not really notice huge crowds except for the Sunday, which was the MK day for Gay Days this year. And that was only for the peak hours of the day. Of course, there was some rain that week too! Seemed like a good time to be there to me. Even on the crowded day I did most MK attractions multiple times (Mickey's Philharmagic 4 times! hehe Loved it!)

Really, only the designated park of the day is more crowded. Otherwise, you'll be fine!

Isn't everyday at Disney World a GAY day?

Were were these this year during gay days. I think as long as you avoid the parks on the days that follow the "gay days" schedule, you will be okay.

There are some there (red shirts) that we saw who were also avoiding those crowds.

We were there June 2 - 9 this year. It was very humid, somewhat crowded and people were as rude as they could be, but it was fun and I would do it over again.

It rained daily. One or two days it was pretty much all day long. Most of the time, it would get hot and very humid in the morning and rain at about 10 AM for 15 minutes and cool things off. Then, it would get really hot and humid again in the afternoon and rain really good for 15 minutes, light for another 15 minutes and cool things off. This was at about 2:00.

The rain was nice. We would just cover our backpack with a poncho abnd go.
