How do Etsy sellers do it?

So I've recently become a huge Etsy fan.

I was just wondering.... how do the Etsy sellers get away with selling Disney items? Isn't that copyright infringement? Isn't that what we aren't allowed to do here at Creative DISigns? Some of them are using what look to be iron-on transfers, and they're selling them on Etsy. And then you can also purchase clothing with Mickey head appliques. Here's an example - http://www.etsy.com/listing/4495975...&ga_page=2&includes[0]=tags&includes[1]=title.

They're absolutely adorable. I love them and hope that they're still around when I have kids (a loooonnnnnnnggggggggg time from now! :lmao:). I'm just wondering how this is legally allowed. Anyone know?

It isn't legal and they are doing it and hoping to not get caught. There are so many it is hard to police them all, but it isn't worth the possibility of getting caught.

I clicked on that link....the outfit is cute enough - but the price is outrageous! She (?) ought to be ashamed of herself on both counts (infringement & highway robbery).

Yeah I don't know. I'd be too worried about repurcussions.

Now I sew, have for feels like 100 years. I make my girls outfits for each day we're at WDW. I cut and do appliques on their clothing and really go over the top with them. It makes it fun for them to dress for each park.

But I'd never try to sell them. I'd worry Disney would come after me, plus some of these outfits can be a lot of tedious work and it just wouldn't be as fun making them for some stranger that I couldn't get to see wear and enjoy them.
