Our plane lands 10:45 am, on 9/10, at MCO, where we have a car reserved at National. It will be DH, DD11, DD2, and me. I would like to check in at AS Mo, have a leisurely lunch at the food court and drop off our luggage (if room not ready). Then take the bus to MK to see the parade, the castle, and maybe a few rides. We would leave MK between 4:30 and 5 (to avoid the crowds at the 6 pm closing), and take the bus back to the resort. We would pick up our car and have an early dinner at Baskervilles (at DTD hotel area), then head over to MGM for the 8:30 Fantamic show. DH thinks we may be able to do this depending on what time we get to WDW on 9/10, and how crowded Fantasmic will be since MK is closing early that day. Is this an ok plan timewise?

I don't think you'll have any problem with the first part of your plan but I would change it up a little, considering you have a two year old. I don't think you'll have any big closing crowds at MK at 6 so I would stay there until closing and go directly to MGM, having dinner at either MK or the studios. It is a lot of moving around for a little one, especially on the first day. Otherwise, I don't see why you couldn't do this. Have a great time!:D

I'm with Aristocath. You could even do the Fantasmic dinner package to make the wait time for Fantasmic less and maybe get in an attraction or two at the Studios.

I wouldn't advise this, since the dinner times set aside for the package are early in the evenning. In my opinion, racing from the parade to MGM for dinner on the first day would be a very tight schedule.

Like the others, I think you should have no difficulty getting to the MK by parade time. The bus from your resort to MK is about 15 minutes, if memory is correct.

The hat is tacky and blocks the vista to the Great Movie Ride. It should go.

I don't think you will have any problems with crowds for the dates that you plan on being in the park, although if it were me and you really wanted to do the dinner at Baskervilles then once you check into the hotel instead of taking the bus to MK just take your car, that way you wouldn't waste time riding the bus back to the resort to pick up the car ;) Yes it will take time to get from the park to the parking lot but as I said unless something has changed Sept. is a very slow month and it should not be crowded. With your arrival time being 10:45 you should be to the hotel by 12:30-1:00 and hopefully your room will be ready, but then you said you wanted to get lunch also so if that is the case I don't see you getting to MK much before 3. If it were me I would just go to the hotel, eat, relax, take a swim, go to dinner then head to MGM.....that way the baby will also get a short nap and be ready to roll for the evening.

This sounds really rushed, to me, esp considering doing battle in 2 airports before you get started

The one change I'd make is taking the bus to MK. If you have a car, use it. It will save time and you can keep a fresh supply of items for your 2 year old in it.
