how difficult is it to get a beach cottage in June

It's my understanding that those thing are relatively hard to come by at the 11 month window. At the 7 month window, I doubt you would get anything close to what you want.

However, there is still always faith, hope, and pixie dust. Stranger things have been said to happen!

I don't know about June at 7 months. We booked one for 3 nights in June at 11 months. However, when we stayed in March, last year, there was one family who had one, and they booked at under 7 months. This was spring break time, so it could have been labeled "impossible" but it wasn't.

So, good luck and Pixie Dust...you can just try!

March is not core time at Vero, that doesn't start until mid May. June is top season, so as others have stated, getting a beach cottage for that month pretty much requires booking at exactly 11 months out day by day. At 7 months?

Forget about it.

A 2 bedroom can also be challenging if you don't book at exactly the 7 month window. I tried booking at 6.5 months for our June '07 trip for a 2 bedroom and I even waitlisted. We ended up with a 1 bedroom, the 2 teenagers were less than thrilled. Mind you they still had plenty of studios and inn rooms at 6 months but we need a washer/dryer and I like the big tub.

My 15 yr old already has my calendar marked for the 7 month window for next summers trip.
