How Difficult is a Dec. Ressie?

We're thinking of going down the week before Christmas. I've worked out the calling dates. We'd like to stay BCV instead of OKW, which means a 7 month window. How difficult is that? I can't imagine it's incredibly busy the 19th - 22nd, but I could be wrong. So I'm asking - do you think it'll be a problem? Thanks!

December is a hard month to book...

May I suggest calling now (or as soon as the 11 month window is open for your dates) and book OKW, then at the 7 month window (day by day) try and switch over to BCV.

That is a very popular time. We have been members at OKW since 1994 and have never had a problem at 11 months there and even at 6 months, but BCV at 7 months for 12/19-22 may be hard. We have never had to do day by day ressies even for BCV at 7 months for last week in June. I agree with making OKW at 11 months then checking at 7 months.

You may not get a room right away, but I would certainly waitlist if I were you. All it takes is one BCV owner with a ressie that has to cancel or someone that wants to move to VWL or SSR at 7 months and you're in.

Booking OKW at 11 mos is certainly sound advice.

I found the week before Christmas to be very easy to get at 7 months. I called in May. Couldn't get the first 2 weeks of December, but the week of the 14th was totally open. Every resort had studio availability.

Melrosegirl makes a good point. It really would depend a lot on what size unit you want. I agree with booking at OKW at 11 months and then tying to change to BCV at 7 months. Don't forget that you will need more points for the BCV ressie. I am not sure I would do day by day on the 7 month ressie though. I would hate to get a couple days in the middle and not the rest, so you migyht be moving back and forth.

I guess I should have qualified it - we're looking for a 2br at that time - going with Mom. Are 2 br harder to get?
