Did you really mean to phrase the question like that? Are you asking how our spouses responded when we first *proposed* buying
DVC? You didn't mean actually went out and *bought*, did you? No matter WHAT it was, if I had gone out and spent $15,000 on *ANYTHING* (no matter HOW much she would love it) without consulting her, I would not be alive to be typing on this keyboard right now... (and with good reason

)
We were staying at the GF this June and saw the billboards about it. I think I got curious first, she seemed a bit reluctant to want to find out more. But one day back in our room for a rest, we watched the DVC channel for a while, and it piqued both of our interests. We were still reluctant to attend a presentation, because we have SUCH negative preconceptions of timeshares, but on our last day there, with a few hours to go before leaving for the airport, we went up to a booth at MGM and told them we wanted to take a tour. Heck, they sent a van to get us at MGM, take us to Boardwalk (all in the rain), and then take us back to GF when we were through. Even if we *hadn't* been interested in DVC, it would have been just as fast as waiting for multiple busses...
When we were sitting in the presentation, I was thinking, "Well, *I'm* sold, but she won't be", and I think she was thinking the same about me. Once we got out and consulted one another, we realized that we both definitely wanted to do it.
