So I had my phone interview Wednesday the 26th for the CP. I think I did good. I got a lot of attraction & merchandise questions. Most of my questions were money related. I got a few attraction questions but not much. I got asked to do quick food but I respectedly said no thank you. Photo pass was my number 1 pick but I wasn't asked a single question. I have experience with both amusement parks attractions and sails so answering those questions was no problem. I got a compliment saying "It looks like merchandise or attractions will be a great fill for you!" I don't want to get my hopes up but I think it went really well. There were only 2 questions I didn't understand so I just took a shot. The person giving the interview took her time so I herd typing in the back. I guess it is better when they take their time because my friend had an interview & his person rushed threw it. I enjoyed the "Have a magical day!" before she hung up. So how did everyone else's phone interview go? The next step is the letter!

I think it went better than I thought, however when I'm nervous my voice gets lower and almost monotone. I hope I didn't sound too bad. Anyway, I prepared some really good answers for questions that weren't even asked. But I think I really impressed her on one of them. There was also 1 question that I didn't quite get, if only it was worded better? It was something like, if I had a repetitive job how would I pay attention to it? uhh yea so I just winged it by going back to previous experiences that were repetitive.

^Yeah I got some confusing questions as well. One was like explain a situation where you had to handle a purchase where the price was a large amount of cash & one really weird one that I didn't understand. I just took a guess & used big words. Apart from that I did really well.

had my interview today. I felt like it was sort of short like 15 minutes but she like breezed through the questions. I was so nervous i couldn't think straight and i feel like i said umm too many times and that is not good. I don't think i can wait 2-3 weeks to find out! I had alot of the typical questions i read about on here like the space mountain question and the not in stock question. i am so glad i read those posts thought because they gave me good ideas on what to say. Cross your fingers and I will do the same for all of you!:thumbsup2

the interviewer laughed when i tried to be funny too, so that made me more comfortable

completely off topic, but pecobill you're from bradenton! haha one of my favorite bands, we the kings, is from there!

I feel mine went very well because I made the inteviewer laugh lol:lmao:

Me as well. It helped "break the ice" a little, so to speak, too. I think mine went alright. I didn't really get asked any scenario questions, though, and that makes me a little nervous seeing as everybody else seems to have been asked those kinds of questions. I dunno. I guess I will just have to wait and see.

I had my interview this morning, I think it went well - im not sitting here critiquing what I said so thats a good sign. I said uhh and um a lot - I hope that doesn't screw up my chances. But she was nice and friendly and there was a little small talk inbetween. It only lasted 15 minutes but she informed me that it would take 15-20 mins from the start so Im not worried. She also asked if I wanted to go Spring or Advantage and I said Spring but if I were to be accepted could I extend and she said it's better to know now because we have specific number of spots for each and told me shed put down both. Also I asked her what my chances were at getting photopass and she said it is very competitive as there arent many spots available but she sees me as a well suited candidate. I don't wanna get my hopes up but I think it went good.

Now I have to wait 3-4 weeks for an email.

I had my interview on the 24th and i was nervous! I mostly was asked questions on Merchandising because i stated that was my number one and a couple questions on my second choice. i flubbed on a couple of questions but over all i thought i did well. Yesterday i got an email saying i was accepted in Merchandising! so anything is possible

i just did my phone interview. It was 10 minutes long. i got one or 2 questiong for each of merch, vacation planning and attractions. All of which were on this board. I think it went well... i just have to wait and see.

I guess they've done away with the purple folders then? Or do those come in the mail AFTER the email?

Oh, and I posted this in the official spring bored, but figured it was appropriate here as well.

So I had my interview Monday night with Kathy, who was a very nice lady. We started with the usual why do I want to work at disney and going over past experience and such. The main roles I discussed being interested in were photopass, attractions, merchandise, and character attendant. She saw on my resume my past experience as a waiter at outback steak house, and since I had selected that on my role sheet, there were a lot of questions there. She asked about my photography skills and such and why I would enjoy that. Then we got into my acting experience (I had put acting as one of my hobbies) and that lasted a little bit and she told me about how her young daughter is a dancer and wants to start acting too. Then we went into a few questions about weather, including what was my favorite type of weather, lol. Then back into role questions, she asked why I would like to do attractions, but indeed did not receive the infamous space mountain question. Then we got into just a ton of background/experience situational questions, like "What is an experience that has happened to you on a job where you managed to keep calm in an emergency?" and after those we went into hotel and hospitality questions, such as my computer experience and then "If you were working on a task at the front desk, a guest walked up, and the phone started ringing, in what order would you deal with those three things?" which seemed pretty basic. We then went through the needed stuff about being in college, age, pay wage, etc. etc. then she realized she skipped the merchandise question and asked the time tested one about out of stock merch. In conclusion, she asked me if I had any questions, and I really didn't, so I said "If you were me, what question would you ask?" and she goes "I would ask "what's stopping you from hiring me right now?"" so I asked that and she laughed and said "We have to go through the process first!" and then we concluded with the usual "Have a magical night" and such. I think it went pretty well, lasted a long time (almost 45 minutes) and they told me I can expect something by 4-6 weeks. Fingers crossed!!!!

Congrats Kellbell!

I had my interview yesterday and I think it went really well! I minimized the "uhs" and "ums" but I thought later of "better" answers I could have given. Oh well.

It was 18 minutes and some-odd seconds according to my cell phone. (Which makes me nervous when I read about longer ones).

I could tell the interviewer was mostly reading from a script but it was ok because she was sweet and very friendly. Nothing intimidating at all. I just tried to get across as much as possible how passionate I was about this and how much I wanted it.

My choices in order were:

Character Performer
Photopass Photographer
Concierge
Attractions

I'm going to write a whole blog on it at http://cpdisneyprincess.weebly.com

Until then...check out my first post and let me know what you think!

Congrats! I've checked my email 5x a day since the interview 8 days ago. I only got the email from the recruiter saying thank you for your inverview. I can't wait much longer!

Has anyone else got 2 thank you letters? I got 2 and double checked, neither one is a congrats one. They are the exact same letter. Just curious.

I think everyone gets a purple folder they are just emailing so they see if you are still going to do the program or not. Thats what i have heard but we will see i havent gotten the purple folder yet!

And it took me one week and one day to get my invitation to do the CP program! I know a lot of people who interviewed the same day i did havent heard anything back other then the thank you email. It all depends on what your choices were.

Congrats on the other who got in and Good Luck to the ones who havent heard yet!!
