I just got done with mine, and I know a lot of other people are doing them now as well.

Mine went well except for one question where I totally couldn't think of anything to say. Super embarrassing, we moved on from the question..anyone else have a similar problem?

I didn't completely blank on a question, but I did ramble on a couple. I'm sure you were fine.

I feel like mine went well, it went a little over 20 minutes and I feel like the interviewer was happy with my answers to my questions, although there were a few points where I got nervous and talked a bit too fast/rambled a bit and might have not answered a question or two as well as I could have.

I think mine went pretty much the same way yesterday. Lasted about 20 minutes, and my interviewer, Sarah, seemed to react positively to what I said. The one question that tripped me up was "How do you stay calm in an emergency situation?" and that was one variation on a question I hadn't really planned on. I said that I'd never really dealt with anything like that before, but I'd just follow procedures to take care of it in the best way possible. How would you answer that one?

I actually wasn't asked that question, but I honestly am not sure how I would answer that one either as it depends on what kind of emergency situation it is was : /. I'd probably answer it close to how you did. I was asked about an actual experience in which I had to remain calm in an emergency situation which I just explained how I had to deal with a physically hostile customer at the Haunted House I work at.

I interviewed for the CP on Feb 11. I had also interviewed for a PI on Feb 7th. I think my PI went a lot better than the one for the CP.

I feel confident in the answers I gave, I was just caught off guard by how professional the interviewer was for the CP. She didn't really offer a lot of feedback and it felt very formal. This has made me very nervous. So far I have not heard anything, so I am hoping for good news!

Aw dang. Wish I'd been quick enough to think about that, though I've luckily never had to deal with anyone that posed any threat. Most people that come into the library where I work aren't people that would. It has happened, but not while I was on duty. Ah well. I tried my best and I guess that's all I can do. The only thing I'm worried about is that I kind of freaked out and said "um" a lot on that one, so I don't know what that shows, being a question about staying calm, haha.

Ah, yeah a library doesn't really seem like the most hectic environment lol. But I had the same issue as well, I'm a pretty good speaker and good at articulating my words, but when I get nervous I start breaking out with "uhm's" all over the place when I'm trying to think. Hopefully that doesn't destroy my chances of getting in lol.

My CP interview was February 14th with Nina. I felt like I really connected by making my goals and intentions for the program clear. After three interviews, I definitely think I have enough confidence in myself.

Just keep in mind even if you don't receive much of a reaction/response from your interviewer that they're most likely occupied typing up notes. Some are great at multi-tasking and interacting while others just have to focus. Don't feel discouraged if you didn't get a great response.

"How do you stay calm in an emergency situation?"
I've had numerous experiences before concerning emergency situations, and would first address the situation. The first thing you want to do is get everyone to safety while staying calm and collected as freaking out doesn't really help anyone or the situation at hand.

An example of an emergency situation I've been in was in response to someone fainting. The very first thing I did was check to make sure they were breathing, while directing a specific person to call the paramedics in the area. I then elevated them, and checked for any other signs.

Really in the end you just want to try your best to relate to the experience that they're asking about, or at least try your best to explain how you'd handle an experience.

Have a Magical Day! :smickey:

For my PI interview I felt that my answers were weak and I forgot one of the responsibilities of Guest Relations, my #1 choice :scared:. I'm hoping that my strong resume makes up for a weak interview. So don't worry there are plenty of other people in the same boat as you and hopefully everything will turn out for the best.

I had the same experience with my CP interviewer; she didn't deviate at all from the set of questions she planned to ask. Reading about other people having 20-30 minute interviews full of laughter has me very nervous, not to mention how I was pended almost immediately. It seems as if who interviews you may be just as important as how you perform :/

I wrapped up my DCP interview today with a preference for only the Disneyland Resort program in California. It was scheduled for 1:00PM EST and it was with Alison. I've applied and interviewed with the program more than I'd like to admit... This time the interview lasted only 12 minutes, but I felt a lot was covered in that small amount of time.

I was a bit surprised at the lack of time actually spent covering my work experience, there was none basically. I was asked what seemed like more than the usual amount of questions mentioned by other people who interviewed, regarding specific roles and positions. There was a lot of overlap with the questions regarding working at various speeds, being interrupted when working a task and finally repeating the same task over and over. I got a bit confused and started to ramble with these questions.

Despite being quick, I still managed to get my "personal point" across as to why I want to join the program and how it would help me professionaly. I also squeezed in two questions about networking opportunities and if Alison had been in the program herself. Overall, I think I came off more nervous as the last time I interviewed, but feel I managed to get everything in.
