Based on a few reports, I decide to try taking a poll and seeing what a larger pool of responses would prove.

Since the AC at the Swan/Dolphin is motion activated, some have reported problems with it being too warm when they return to the room or during the night.

Please post your experiences here!:D

We had a renovated balcony room at the Dolphin in August and had no problems at all.

One thing people need to realize is that if you are staying in a balcony room, every time you open or close the sliders, the AC will automatically shut down. You have to make sure the sliders are closed tightly or the AC will not come back on again.

We did notice that the room seemed a little stuffy after returning from the parks, but it cooled down quickly right after we entered the room, no biggy.

The room stayed nice and cool all night long too as we were sleeping.

We stayed at the Swan last June, and like Blondie, our room was warm (not hot) and stuffy when we returned but cooled quickly. I would not have wanted the ac to be running full steam all day when we were not in the room anyway, waste of energy.

Bumping!!! Come on guys, we need more votes!!:hyper:

It would be nice to know how many were comfortable in the hot months. Not so hard to stay cook in the winter.

Ditto what Blondie said about the Dolphin. Feb 2001, July 2001, July 2002, Jan 2003 and June 2003, non-renovated balcony rooms...no problems at all.
In the hot months, as noted by previous posters, the room would be a little "stuffy" (not hot)upon return - but cool down quickly and we were always very comfortable. :)

We just stayed at the Swan last weekend. It was warm when we entered but cooled quickly to a comfortable level. We had no problems with the AC at night.

No problems with the A/C and it was quite warm outside, 85-90. We had a balcony so yes, we had to make sure the door was closed tight.
