How did you meet your spouse?

I met the DH when I was 13 it was the summer before my freshman year(his soph) and a friend of mine said, you've got to meet him, he's perfect for you. Julie Knapp where ever you are, you were right. We were high school sweethearts, promised for high school graduation, I got his pin my freshman year in college. He waited until a month after our graduations (he took an extra year) to propose. A year later we were married and it will be 11 years the 22nd of this month. I'll be 34 this year so I've been with DH longer than I havn't.

My friend and I both worked at the same insurance agency. We were both in our mid-20's and single with the threat of spinsterhood hanging over our heads. Anytime a good looking guy would come in the office we practically knocked each other down trying to get to the front counter. All I can say is "good thing I got there first" that day !!! We'll be celebrating our 18th anniversary this year.

A friend of mine talked me into going to his house to say goodbye to him before he left for basic training. I just remember thinking dang he's so cute and he has a great sense of humor it's too bad I didnt get to meet him sooner. I actually got teary eyed as he drove away. Well when he came home two months later for christmas he asked my friend for my phone number and he invited me to a party at his house. It went from there.

Lana and I met on a blind date and will have been married 32 years this May 27. Second marriage for both of us. We only dated for 4 months before tying the knot.

I met my DH when I was 18 and he was 19. We were doing the same graduate music degree at the same university only he was a year above me. We started dating in the first few weeks that I started uni and married after I had finished my course (4 years later) We have been married for nearly 6 years now.

I met my DBF at a college thing we had both gone to.We had spent the entire day talking but we forgot to exchance numbers so my female cousin slipped him my number.We'll have our 2 year anniversay in August and I'm so in love it's insane

That's the cutest story. Everytime I see your picture I think "What a cute couple" with you in your Mickey ears wearing smiles. After such a short time, he couldn't live without you, that had to of melted your heart!

My DH lived in the apartments my mother managed. He used to hang out in her office and talk to her for hours. One day I was in her office when he came in. He's a photographer and the first thing he said to me was, "I could take beautiful pictures of you".
My mom started screaming "No, don't even look at her. She's my little girl. She's only 17 years old" He asked me out right then and there and my mom kicked him out of her office (in a playful manner)before I could even respond.

A couple months passed before I saw him again. Well, I was working at Walmart at the time and I saw him out side. I smiled at him. Well, he came inside and came through my line and said "I saw you looking at me. Do you like what you see?" HE DIDN"T REMEMBER WHO I WAS!!!! After I explained to him that I met him at my mom's work, he was SOOOOOOO embarrassed. Well, the next time I was working he came through my line again and bought a pack of gum. He then stood in line to come through again and bought a soda. He came through my line 4 times! I told him to wait a few minutes till my break and then I would talk to him. (I didn't want him to go broke!) Well, here we are years later and I'm still "looking at him"

I met my DH at a room party at a science fiction convention. Got to know each other corresponding on a local BBS. Then he joining us when a large group of us would go out. First date was 6 months later, 6 months after that we were engaged and 6 months after that married. It will be 14 years this October.

I was his secretary at an Engineering Consulting Firm! We dated for 18 months, engaged and married 6 months later. That was 15+ years ago.

Fun stories! Ours is probably run of the mill. lol We met at work. It took a couple months for him to get the guts to ask me out. Our first date was September 11th 1995, a friend took us sailing at night on the Chesapeake Bay, GREAT first date!!! We knew within weeks that we'd be together forever. 7.5 yrs later and with 3 kiddos under our belts, so far so good!

I met my husband on the side of the road, broken down with a male friend of mine. I pulled over after noticing them and we met.

We've been together for 18 years, we'll be married for 15 years this coming September 16th.

I met DW at a Christmas Eve service at the church where my dad was the minister. Sue tells the story that she knew instantly that she was going to marry me. We started dating a short time later and were married before the next Christmas Eve rolled around. We will celebrate 19 years together this August. I can't remember (or imagine) my life without her.
