How did you get to your EARLY Tusker House breakfast??

Jumping off of the thread I started on transporation thread....I have heard there are some serious issues with the Animal Kingdom parking lot not opening until 30 minutes prior to park opening. We are staying on site but have decided to rent a car with our toddler and his huge jogging stroller. (He sleeps in the jogger!!)

With that said, how did you get to your Tusker House breakfast reservation prior to the opening of the park?? On the day we are going, the park opens at 9am and our reservation is for 8:05am.

Did you find that the parking lot was open at 7:30am? Did you take the bus? Did you taxi over and just walk through the parking lot to the front entrance?

We had an early breakfast reservation last week at Tuckser House. Our ressie was at 8:15am...park opened at 9am. We took the bus over, so I'm not 100% sure about the parking lot. Sorry, I can't help with that!

we were at WDW two weeks ago and all the parking lots were open before that...

We took a bus for our 8:30AM reservation. The parking lot was clearly opened when we arrived (although we didn't park there - we could see it) full by the time we arrived (8:05AM or so). Have fun. I love Tusker House breakfast!

It's funny; the only place I ever read it is in threads saying that people had read it. Then many people say it's not true, the thread dies, and then a week later another thread pops up. It's very odd. I've never actually read that it really happens, though!

We went in Feb got to the parking lot about 7:30 for 8am ressie and we even got Family of the day parking right up front. The park did not open till 9am on this day.

From this board...never heard of it until I came here and was reading through in regards to early morning reservations!!! When I called Disney to question it, the CM acted surprised and told me that every single parking lot is open at 6:30am and then said, at the latest 7:30am for AK. I posted this in transportation and no one disputed it so I assumed it was true.

This is the only glitch in my otherwise perfect plans...haha...so I am obsessing a bit.

At this point, we are going to drive and hope for the best!!!

We have driven to AK for an early Tusker House ADR and not had a problem getting in - so at least sometimes they open at 7:45

well, as i mentioned, we just got back from 2 weeks at WDW.
we always got to the parks about 45 minutes before opening and the lots were all open when we got there.

in fact, there were always already many cars parked, so presumably the lots had been open for some time before we arrived

We always do the 8:05 ADR at Tusker House and we drive ourselves...never had an issue with the parking lot not being open on time.
