How did you do your websites...

I have seen so many wonderful websites, and I am at a loss on how to make one as wonderful as what you guys have done. How did you get started, and did you use any special programs?

My husband did ours—he is a self-proclaimed “computer geek” so that’s how we did it. It’s www.elisabethandcolin.com, but it’s down right now while they transfer domains.

DFi did a "real" one about us...but I like the ones on theknot.com for simplicity and ease of building...Literally a fill in the blanks, pick your background kind of thing.

I used yahoo geocities, I had no prior experience and was able to figure it out!

I use Microsoft Frontpage, because I am too lazy to write out the HTML code (I know it, but it is time consuming to type it all out!), and I host for free at Yahoo/Geocities.
