Just curious - what kind of picture and where did you get it that you used for the iron on for the pillow case? That sounds like such a great idea!

We leave in 11 days for the Magic and I would love to do this for my dd and niece!

Thanks!!

I got my transfer paper from Wal-mart, it was HP brand. Then I use the font program for my scrapbooking program. And just put the boys names on them "Bryson" on one line then Disney Cruise 2004 on another and found a picture of Captin Mickey online and ran it through my printer......Piece of advice don't forget to reverse the writing BEFORE printing. ( I know this from trial & error.

Good luck

Iron on transfer paper is available from most sewing stores and craft stores. THere are several brands available, so be sure you follow the instructions for your brand.

Most kinds can take pictures printed from your computer or photographs without damaging the photos. This is used frequently for memory quilts, etc......

Read the Instructions on the pack of paper you use ... I repeat
BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

If they tell you to cut off some of the extra paper from around your picture, do so cause it does make for a nicer end product.

If they tell you to wait until it cools to take off the paper ... do so or you can ruin the print.

BUT my best suggestion is to practice on plain material first before you do the final one.

Once you get the hang of it you will have a ball making all different kinds of things. Just be aware that it doesn't work too well on canvas ... I know from experience.

Little tidbit ... if you have kids and they have a fav stuffed animal ... get a kids t-shirt that fits the animal and put a decal on it and have the characters sign it on the ship. Kids get a kick out of this.
