Both of my DD's were ******l. I pushed just 5 times with my first, and 3 with my second. I knew I had to have at least one talent.

I labored through the night and by 8 the next morning I was still at 0 - no dilation and no effacement. They started the pitocin then and I begged for an epidural about noon when they told me I was still not even quite 1 cm.
I labored until around 5 that evening and my OB checked and I was still not even 2 cm. They decided that I needed to have a c-section so they started prepping me. There was already a section taking place in the OR down the hall so they were going to have me wait about another 30 minutes or so and then my heartrate and DS's started to plummet and all of the sudden things moved fast. They got me into a regular OR and had DS out quickly. He was 5 lbs. 6 ozs. but thankfully in very good health.
DD was 7 lbs. 8 ozs. and I had a much harder recovery which suprised me. Everyone usually told me how much easier the second section is but I found it harder.
Still has a head in 95th percentile - oh my! Second time had the spinal, much better than the souped up epideral. XantheFan said:C-section with both. I wonder how many 1st time c-section moms elect for c-section the second time around too?
