We just passed ROFR, purchasing 400 BCV points at $94 per pt, with an October use month. The deal included 365 pts from 05, 400 banked 06 pts, 400 07 pts. The seller paid all closing costs. We used this board and other sources to choose our purchase. At $94 per point the cost was $36700.00, plus 07 yearly maintenance,total cost was $39,452.00.
We felt that 765 pts from 05 and 06 were worth at least $7650.00 and the yearly maintenance paid for those points at $1852.00 per year was worth $3704.00. Thus the value of our 05 and 06 pts and maintenance previously paid was $11,354.00. We subtracted $11354.00 from $39452.00 and calculated the actual cost to be $28,098.00. Finally, we divivded $28,098 by 400, which works out to be $70.24 per point, for BCV.
