My parents picked my name because it wasn't on the list of the top baby names. Apparently in 1993, it was cool to pick off that list? Like come on, we don't need anymore Jessica's or Jennifer's running around.
I have issues with really generic names, and all of my friends have them. It's not like 'oh my god your name sucks' it's more like 'Wow your parents weren't very original.'

So I'm stuck with Megan.

I've known about 20 or so Megans in my lifetime.
I want an original name... so should I ever have kids, they'll be stuck with something unique.

I've always read it the way you pronounce it "sewn-ya"

I'm Rebekah Marie. Not sure where Rebekah came from, but i have a cousin named Isaac and I always get teased about it. (they were cousins and married in the Bible!) She went into labor on the 24th and she found out that it was a hurricane and they named it Danielle. She decided when I was born that it had a good ring to it! here's the description from wikipedia:
