Happy Easter to all! I'm just back from my parents' house and feel SO sick. I have been doing Atkins since January and have really stuck to the program (except for the occasional Atkins bar or Atkins ice cream). Well, my mom made ham (with brown sugar!), mashed potatoes, squash (just for me, but made with brown sugar!), broccolli (with margarine!), rolls, and chocolate cake. I had just a little of everything, except rolls, BUT including a small piece of cake!!! My body is definately on a sugar load right now! I am feeling so "out of it". Anything I can do to make myself feel better or do I just need to ride it out? I am hypoglycemic as well, and am deathly afraid that my blood sugar levels are going to crash any minute now and I am going to need to BINGE! Used to happen ALL the time pre-Atkins, but I've been so good, I haven't had to deal with any sugar reactions in almost 4 months!

Any advice??

Yup, I overdid it too. I will be right back on plan tomorrow.
You may find you have a hellacious headache later (normal after eating off Atkins), you may be very tired, but you will survive. DRINK as much water as you can in the next few days. Don't weigh yourself for a few days either, if you get discouraged easily. Eating off plan will sometimes cause you to gain a few pounds of water, and that will take a bit of time to flush out of your system.
Can you tell I have done this before?! :p
All this and TOM too... I won't be weighing in until next Sunday!
 Happy Easter!

Hey! I did really well today!! WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I had a bowl of grape nuts for breakfast and some coffee then for lunch I had a grilled chicken breast for dinner I had Ham ( YUM) and roll with some peas.

Then I went to Maggie Moos for dessert and, youll be so proud of me , Instead of having some ice cream I ordered
Passion Fruit sorbet with a few white chocolate chips thrown in for good measure!! Man! Who needs ice cream!! This is HEAVENLY!!!

oh! i finished a week of stress eating with a BANG! today!

totally back OP tomorrow -- i'll be back reporting to keep me honest!

I feel totally GROSS!!!! Not that I ate too much of any one single thing....just a little bit of too many things! Oh - and the candy around here isn't helping things.....

Good thing tomorrow is Monday.....back on track.....I just cannot take another day feeling this awful!

I can't believe I've resisted the candy. I ate pretty well at lunch, but I'm still probably out of ketosis.
I did walk, though. Does that count? ;)

As for the rest of the day, Oh well. Tomorrow will be better.

I have to admit that I did not do too well. I was done in by the home made nut roll and raisin bread. It was from the blessed food basket though so does that make it have less calories????

Tomorrow is another day and I will be back on track and back to Curves. I love holidays though!

I think I did fine. I ate light today and had no bread with dinner (big temptation). Ate a very healthy dinner and brought a low-carb cheesecake for dessert. I did have a small piece of cake and ONE jellybean. I can't believe I could walk away only eating one jellybean. That is a MIRACLE. I wasn't perfect but I can live with it. Hope everyone had a nice holiday.

Considering I decided to get back on track with WW today! I did great. I even have 3 points left but won't be using them.

We did a very non-traditional dinner. I grilled PorterHouse Steaks and corn on the cob. Fresh fruit. and rolls. Kringle for dessert.

I had my

2oz of steak
1 corn on the cob
2 cups of fresh fruit
1 roll

and my Cabury Carmel Egg.

No butter on anything and no Kringle. Not a big fan so easy for me to pass on.

I made 2 nice size steaks for the 3 of us. My mom, me and DS and even had some left over.

Tommorrow is a new day. Need I say more? ;)

I did bad as well........just posted about it, I amback on track tomorrow....going to focus better next weAkend!

I planned ahead for my Easter dinner and, I think I came out below my estimate since, 7 oz of ham was WAY too much and, even at 5 oz, I had to reserve some for later. Good for a snack tho! I had already planned for a salad, corn, mashed potatoes and a biscuit. I used my pre-measured salad dressing and, I used the 'free' butter spray on my biscuit and potatoes. All in all I think I did GREAT, considering the holiday and all! I didn't eat ONE piece of chocolate or, a jelly bean and, I didn't miss it AT ALL! I took a cup of watermelon with me for my hors d'ouerves and, I drank water until the meal, when I had a Crystal Light lemonade. AFTER the meal tho, I had a few beers while we played cards. I don't think I overdid the points tho. :scared:

I just WISH the Mother's Day Challenge first weigh-in wasn't tomorrow. Ham might be OK but, it's got the salt.

Everyone..........back OP Monday! Onward and downward!

:sunny:

I hope that you all had a great Easter, whether you stayed OP or not!

I managed to stay OP despite my kitchen resembling a candy shop! :earseek: My DH and DD's have soooo much chocolate and candy it's unbelievable! :hyper: I think that will be around for quite a while yet.

We had a buffet at home, so I just made sure that I weighed out the food that I would be having and put it on my plate, so nobody was the wiser. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I even had some Easter eggs! Five Cadbury's mini eggs (a total of 60 calories) which I really enjoyed! ::yes:: They were my Easter treat!

Luckily my aunt made the dinner and she's on South Beach! Michael got a toy filled basket from his aunt and I added some low carb sugar free candy to it.

Michael succumbed to some Mac and Cheese my cousin made, it took everything I had but I resisted it. It was also my cousin's daughter's birthday and we both passed up the cake.

Other people's homes are the biggest challenge for Michael. It's a job just to keep people from offering him stuff.

ok now that Ive entered my fitday for yesterday its time to fess up! I attacked DSs Russell Stover chocolate bunny yesterday (actually DS & I both attacked it)
The Easter Bunny brought mostly peanut butter candy except for the Russell Stover bunny so now most of the temptation is gone - thank God!
I'll have to work this week at working it off - hopefully the rain will hold off somewhat

I am really happy about how I did! Stayed OP for the meal and appetizers (I brought a cheese tray), but chose a dessert even before I had my meal! I had a small peice of my aunt's cheesecake which is worth every carb in it! LOL!

The night before I had one tiny chocolate (hollow!) egg, and it didn't even taste good, so it was easy to skip all the candy.

I went off my South Beach, I ate cake and ice cream on Saturday for my Neice's birthday. For Easter, I ate a roll, and had a slice of Cherry pie, our ham had a brown sugar glaze on it that I had not taken into consideration until reading other posts.
And I did eat a few jelly beans.
..
I have not been this bad for quite some time, but I will not let this get me down. I will get back on my program today!!!

YIPEE!!! I thought I'd be out of ketosis, but this morning I was still purple! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

All things considered==I don't think I did too bad, although I did use most of my remaining flex points yesterday. :teeth: Weigh in is this afternoon, so I will soon see whether yesterday did any damage.

For those of us who ate more than we should or things we don't usually eat  Renember that your program is still there and you can get right back on it. If we all only overate one or two days a year, we wouldn't have a problem, right? :D

To those who stayed on plan--cyber high five!!! Way to go!!:sunny:
