Sorry it has taken me so long to pick up but I'm BAAACCCKKK!!! I don't know how people remember what they did months ago, I barely remember last month but I will try my best.
I as determined to let my kids sleep in this trip and that is exactly what I did. I think they woke up around 8:30am. My DH went down to the Boardwalk Bakery and used some of our snack credits. He got carrot cake (not usually something I allow for breakfast but, hey, it's Disney), a sticky bun and something else plus a couple of juices. As we found out later, he should have just used counter service credits as that would have been a pastry, and two bottled drinks and the pastries were big enough to split. Anyway, when the kids woke up we ate them and left to walk to Epcot. It was so great how close the International Gateway was. As we made our way in, who do we run into but our friends that were staying at the BC. It was so funny we were on the same time schedule. I could have gotten the GAD fastpasses but the park was so not crowded we didn't need them. I remember we got fast passes for Soarin' and Test Track but that was it.
As we walk in to the countries, my DS notices this little cave that they all crawl in. Funny...in the 10+ trips I had been I had never noticed this. I can't find my picture of the "cave" but here is a picture of what happened to my son after he sat in it.
I just can't take that boy anywhere. We were only there for 2 minutes and already he is filthy.
We walked through a lot of the Flower and Garden Festival displays. They were so beautiful. My children especially liked the little playground that was set up. Here are some pics of the displays.
We head to Spaceship Earth after we got FP for Soarin'. I didn't remember this being as fun as I thought it was this time! I was pleasantly surprised. My DD loved the computer and putting her face on the postcard. We emailed it to my mom back home and she got a real kick out of it. I think we rode Nemo next and my DS was enthralled with it. He was clapping and singing the whole time. I had tears in my eyes I loved his reaction so much! We then played in the little play area for quite a while. We rode The Land and Test Track. By then it was time for lunch so we ate at Sunshine Seasons. It was then time for our FP return to Soarin'. They guys went on first with my DD and my friends DS and we got child swaps for the rest of us. The moms waited with the small children near the fast pass return. We waited quite a while before them came out. We then went in with the older kids again. That is the beauty of the child swap...the older kids rode multiple times. I think we rode a couple of other rides, that for the life of me I can't remember then headed over to the World Showcase for our 5pm ressies at Biergarten. We enjoyed a frozen mojito first..it was very good. I couldn't have been happier with where we were seated. Because we were a party of 8 we had our own table and were front and center. My DS was anxiously awaiting the singing and dancing I told him about. As usual, the food was okay but the beer was good as was the "show". I have a bunch of pics from this....
This is my son enjoying the show..
My children dancing..oh they had so much fun!
And a my favorite pic of my daughter and I...
We just had so much fun here...I am so glad my DH and myself tried this last year.
After Biergarten, we headed to catch the monorail since we had ressies for the Wishes Dessert party at MK that night.
So far this has been an incredibly enjoyable day. I am so glad we are going at a much slower pace and not the commando style I am used to.
Up next.....Wishes Dessert Pary and MK....will we stay for EMH?
