My parents and grandparents are en route to disney right now! They may have even already arrived. My parents have never been without me (keep in mind I'm in my 20s now and getting married soon, so it's not like they left me behind as a kid) and they're going to be there for like 8 days...I'm so jealous!! Not to mention it's dreary here and supposedly about to snow.

I'll try to update with Small World/Land/etc info as I get it!

ETA-They're about to leave to go eat at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. I'm not sure how much I love my family right now as they are torturing me so...

Oh I am sorry! I often wonder how my now 17 year old son will take it when he has to stay home due to work, school etc. and we take off without him :sad2:

I am sure they will bring you home lots and lots of great stuff and they probably are missing you soooooo much ::yes::

hehe Well, they did say it rained on them the whole way down there, so I suppose that does help. The idea didn't really bother me at all when they were just talking about it (I honestly don't want to go back without my fiance) but now that they're there and I'm here stuck writing my thesis and studying for an exam...I'm super jealous!

And Emme, you're right...I got an amazing Vday gift out of this...who even knows what they'll bring me back from down there! I'm hoping for cute wedding stuff, but since the grandparents still don't love the fact that I'm getting married, that may be a lot to ask.

Well, gee whiz, maybe you'll just have to go to WDW on your honeymoon to make up for this! :rotfl:

Dont' worry! Just think how bad they'll feel when they see all of the little kids with their parents having a great time! You'll get major mileage out of the guilt trip later on! Anyway, if your grandparents aren't that thrilled with the marriage, you don't want to be around them and have to listen to any potentially negative comments they could toss out. Not only that, but I bet the schedule will be very slowed down to accomodate the older generations' diminished energy levels. You can go with your fiance soon, and see everything and more in half the time! Also, I bet it's horribly crowded now anyway! Feeling any better? Good! Get back to that paper! :flower:

I still remember when my Mom won a trip from church to Disney(I was in college) She took my brother and sister and didn't tell me they were going until the day before they were leaving. That was 20 years ago....I am still bitter about it. :rotfl2:

That's the plan!!

Thanks for all the ways of making me feel better guys. I knew you would know how I felt though!! :bride:

Well right now we are having thunderstorms here and rain. There is a tornado watch in effect 'til 8pm.

Well, it rained on them all day. They went to MK and crowds were pretty low, around 10 minutes for most lines. Since it was my grandfather's birthday, they left and went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner and they had a volcano. All in all they seemed to have a good day, just really wet! I'll let you know when they have more interesting info straight from the parks!

My parents had never gone anywhere without me and my sister, and i mean NEVER! I got married just before my 20th birthday, and my husband and I went to WDW on our honeymoon. This was my first trip to WDW without my mom, dad, and sister. I missed them terribly, and they were so jealous. I am sure that your parents are really missing you, as much as you are jealous. Take the advise already posted here, and go to WDW on your honeymoon!! :earsboy: :earsgirl:
