My plan is to open a bottle of wine around 11:30 pm the night before I start making reservations at 1:00 am. I even took the next day off work!

I hope mine goes okay, 60 days out, no A&E, and we are at each park a few times each so I should be able to get everything I want. (knock wood)
I'm mostly nervous about getting night rides at MK on a non-party night. I want Thunder Mountain, Splash, and I guess 7Dwarves at night. I'm flexible on the third.

My DVC account still uses a username. It's PERFECTLY linked up to MDE which uses my email address. Perfectly! My Disneyland account is also the email address one.

It all works just fine.

If/when something messes up and they blame that, or some other mythical one with names out of order like Jennasis talked about? No. Couldn't have just magically messed up now. Their system is doing weird things. Perhaps their system is making these accounts, who knows. They have to FIX this. First step, believe the customer. Second step, fix it. It's like that post on the Resorts page about booking what, by all ways of looking at it, was a 9 day trip for a certain amount of money, only to see that it's wrong in DME with the wrong dates. And having this somehow blamed on the customer. No! Customer books, is given a price, that's IT. If your system isn't showing the right price, that's up to the company to fix.

Um the multiple accounts is an issue though. I was having it before MDE rolled out because I would try to log in to Disney Store or ABC and simply based on what password I used would be which account popped up. I didnt realize the problem until I became a CM because my CM doscount was on one log in and not the other. I wasn't trying to excuse Disney but pointing out it has been an issue far before MDE.

Watch who you add to My Family and Friends. "Excited" Friends and Family can wipe out your FP+ plans. There have been a few reports of hard work, at 60 days out, being wiped just days before the trip.

I link only with immediate family members. Extended family and friends get screen shots of plans. You can have only one cook in the kitchen with MDX.

The system appears to be working this morning. I don't like it at all. I don't feel any relief or less stress "knowing" I have my choices locked in. ANYTHING could happen between now and then, or right then, that could change what we want to or have to do. I feel even more restricted than I have before. Like I'm trapped...MAYBE I can change those things as needed...and maybe I'll be stuck with my choices. 7 DMT was completely gone by 7:30am even with the system down all last night. At least I got my selection for that in I guess.I'd like to have a long chat with the "suit" whose idea this all was, along with the suits who nodded and said "great idea!"

Around 7:30. I made our 7DMT for 4:10-5-10 last night at 1:05am (which messed up my plans...more on that later). This morning I tried to move that time and there was no availability.

I WANTED fp for 4-5, 5-6, 6-7 due to our friends only having MNSSHP tux for entry. The only time I could get the mine train in that time frame wasv4:10. So the next one I could get for anything was 5:10-6:10, which meant it wouldn't allow anything after that since the window would run past 7. I wanted to move the train to a later time 5-6 or 6-7 but no luck.

You know the more I read about this wonderful system the further and further off I keep putting my vacation. I have enough tickets for one or two more trips, but in all honesty I really don't think it is worth the hassle right now to go. I really think I am gonna wait till the poly timeshare is done. Rent some points and go there and decide the future of my Disney vacations at that point. Quite frankly it sounds like a real cluster!@#!#$ right now!

I'm so sorry OP. That stinks. I actually had to call IT today, I bought MNSSHP tix today and my husband and I were listed as ages 3-9 and my kids were listed as 10+...I "could" have assigned us wrong, but I doubt it since I'm totally sober But the kids were also going NUTS at the time so you never know...

We also had the two account problem...My husband had created an account YEARS ago that he had been unable to access, to delete. The IT person today saw it (without my mentioning it) and deleted it for us, apparently it is all fixed now? That was comforting since I was nervous about it, after reading here about similar situations wreaking havoc.

so I guess I had a good IT experience, although I'm worried for when we make FP selections in like 8 days, to see if it was *really* all fixed. But I feel so bad for everyone who is having these problems

We were considering adding Memory maker to our trip, but I'm freaking terrified to make any changes!

I realized after this mess that I feel like I don't even know Disney World anymore. It's unrecognizable now compared to the place we've been traveling to since 1977. A stranger. In one fell swoop, after last night's angst, the process has managed to completely deflate my balloon of enthusiasm for this trip. And we just dropped $11k on a new DVC membership.

I'm going to have to do some real digging to rekindle the fire. I;m sure it can be done, but I'm just so disappointed in the place and all the changes right now.

I'm so sorry. I was thinking about adding Memory Maker, too, but had the same concern as you. I did see the thread yesterday about the Photopass Archive CD still being available (with a pre-purchase discount that makes it $30 less than Memory Maker) so I think I'm just going to do that instead. We're taking a short trip and the only ride photos we'll have will be from Splash anyway.

You are right. I would hate to see this thread go there. But that is usually what happens… People don't want to believe that Disney could be making a mistake, so they want to believe it is the OP's fault.

CLEARLY she didn't do anything wrong. Which is why does suck so bad.

Based on what happened to the OP, this is exactly why I don't want anyone else in my party to create a MDE account, which sucks because I know my folks will want access to our Memory Maker pics, but I can't risk stuff getting wiped out.
