How cute...my first (poorly timed) glitch!

:cool1:I feel like I'm part of the cool-kids club now, as I officially have my first glitch with MDE (both the app and the site)...and frankly, it couldn't come at a more inopportune moment. :worried:

I've had an entire human being disappear from my account :wizard:, which I discovered early yesterday. Then, later last night I went to link a ticket to the only member of our party who still needed a park ticket, and it LOOKED fine last night after I did it...only to have no trace of the linked ticket in the account this morning.:confused3

I have been checking my account frequently just to see if any of the mentioned glitches happened and I have had NOT ONE ISSUE until now...which is coincidentally the day before I can make FP+ reservations for our trip.:faint:

So, I'm playing it cool until tomorrow:smokin:. If things don't "auto-magically" pixie-dust themselves back into the way it's supposed to be then I will join the legions of disgruntled folks who had to call the FREAKING IT department to make my vacation right.:rolleyes2

But for now...i wait. popcorn::
 
Good luck. I find this whole FP+ a major annoyance. Made my selections yesterday and had nothing but problems. Could make selections for day 1-5 and day 8 but I couldn't make them for days 6 & 7. After trying multiple times I was finally able to make them. It is a lot of work to coordinate park hours/ADRs/FP+ and then to have the system mess up is just totally frustrating. I hope everythig works out for you:wizard:
 
I'm having trouble with the site too. And it's also my first glitch! :rotfl:

UPDATE: We discovered the cause of the glitch in the OP...apparently, the person who disappeared became so excited about her first Disney trip ever that she went on MDE and created an account of her own. The system recognized her name and email (which I must have attached to it at some point) and "stole" her from MY account. Took some doing to get it back so I could see her on my account.

Then, tonight, about 2 hours ago, I went to load up MDE to have it ready to go at midnight to book FP+ and it wouldn't accept my log in. Kept saying my password was wrong. I KNOW it wasn't wrong as I had logged on already today multiple times. I tried over and over, completely freaked and finally in desperation entered my OLD password from last year (I changed it last year to keep in line with my other internet passwords). THAT worked???? I was like WTH???? But then when I logged in ALL of my info and reservations were GONE. No people, no res, no ADRs, no tix, no bands, no Donald Duck avatar...NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

I lost my mind. Called IT again.......I will say it again....

NOBODY SHOULD EVER HAVE TO CALL THE IT DEPARTMENT OF THEIR VACATION DESTINATION TO STRAIGHTEN OUT A GLITCH. EVER.

The guy was very nice and after tapping around he proclaims I have TWO accounts (No I don't). One using my email as my username and one using my last name as my username (NO. I DON'T!). SO after him not getting what I wanted, I finally got him to get the username back the way it was with the password I wanted and everything appears to be there.

One more glitch and Guest Services is getting an irate phone call.

It is all from when Disney combined all online accounts so ABC, ESPN, Disney Jr, Club Pengiun, Disney Store, etc. When they dod that it seems they didn't delete the accounts there were just phantom accounts that were there but not active. Then they made everyone change from usernames to emails. That caused more phantom accounts.

I ended up having 4 accounta and it took until this most recent trip to get it all settled. My D23 account is still its own seperate account even though it shouldn't be.

It's just so random that it would become a problem tonight, when I haven't had one lick of an issue with it ever before, including all day today. It's like the system said "hey...wanna mess with jennasis? her window for FP+ opens tonight...let's go nuts!" :confused3
 
I have the same problem and I hope it doesn't rear its ugly head when I have to make FP selections. When I call Disney and verify they have an address for me that I have not lived at in over 12 years, I think I have two to three accounts in the Disney system. You would think they could eliminate redundant information somehow, but database management is a tricky thing. You can't really delete information unless you are absolutely positive it is redundant.

Did they explain to you that this is "still in the testing phase"?

In all honesty, I feel bad for you Jenn. You have been a trouper through the changes over the last couple of years (way more than some of us :rolleyes1) and just made a major commitment to Disney. I only hope it gets better sooner rather than later.

Now excuse me while I go defend the new tech savvy ride at that other place that opened 2 weeks ago and isn't up to par yet. Oh, the irony.:goodvibes

No, he didn't give me the company line ("testing" my big toe!). But I was very polite to him...after all, none of this was his fault. I explained I was freaking out, with a bit of maniacal laughter, and thanked him profusely for his help...cause honestly, who else could fix it??? Poor CM's getting the brunt of the angry.

I'm trying to stay positive. Keep a weather-eye out for an insane tirade around 12:30am if I have one WHIFF of a problem booking FP+ though. I EXPECT everything to go smoothly. I really do.

Yeah, I can't possibly imagine the amount of contact the IT department has with the GP these days. I do feel bad for them and CMs getting to deal with the brunt of all this. They certainly don't deserve it (although a little maniacal laughter probably helps keep them focused ;)). I'm sure you were more "understanding" than a lot of people. That is why we are taking a four year break. I don't want to take it out on a person I know doesn't deserve it. But it's more like I want them to be totally callused...you know...just in case. :)
 
More good news. My window DID NOT open at 12am (or 12:01/02/03 etc ). Of course not. Why would it open on time for me? GUess this is one of those "try at 1:30am" cases.

Geesh, you guys are terrifying me. I MIGHT plan a trip soon but I'm hesitant...
 
OMG! MDE is worthless. Absolutely maddening and worthless. It's 1:30. The system opened for me a little after 1am...made a few selections after jumping through hoops nobody should have to. It's a ridiculous set up. Beyond frustrating and poorly designed...and then..AND THEN...

IT WENT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties!!!!!!!!!!

My eye! I am so annoyed. 1:30am and I am so mad. Oh and some things weren't available at times I wanted. Couldn't seem to get ANY ride to offer me anything at 6pm or later on MNSSHP night. And on my DHS day it said NO other times were available for any of the 3 rides I chose other than the lousy 4pm-6pm times it gave me for Star Tours, Toy Story and Tower of Terror? Hogwash! I'm assuming that was the start of the shut down of the system and there probably are times available.

What a worthless system. What a terrible first impression they've made on me...and I was going in all optimistic and enthused that they'd ironed out all the kinks by now.

I'm so stressed out and sleep deprived (not due to the trip...just stuff at home) and I convinced myself to stay up late and do this because I love...errr, LOVED planning and wanted all my stuff taken care of. Now Disney World and their ridiculous 2 billion dollar boondoggle can KISS MY GRITS until tomorrow.

I'm going to bed.

No. That's what they say, but no.

My DVC account still uses a username. It's PERFECTLY linked up to MDE which uses my email address. Perfectly! My Disneyland account is also the email address one.

It all works just fine.

If/when something messes up and they blame that, or some other mythical one with names out of order like Jennasis talked about? No. Couldn't have just magically messed up now. Their system is doing weird things. Perhaps their system is making these accounts, who knows. They have to FIX this. First step, believe the customer. Second step, fix it. It's like that post on the Resorts page about booking what, by all ways of looking at it, was a 9 day trip for a certain amount of money, only to see that it's wrong in DME with the wrong dates. And having this somehow blamed on the customer. No! Customer books, is given a price, that's IT. If your system isn't showing the right price, that's up to the company to fix.
 
The system appears to be working this morning. I don't like it at all. I don't feel any relief or less stress "knowing" I have my choices locked in. ANYTHING could happen between now and then, or right then, that could change what we want to or have to do. I feel even more restricted than I have before. Like I'm trapped...MAYBE I can change those things as needed...and maybe I'll be stuck with my choices. 7 DMT was completely gone by 7:30am even with the system down all last night. At least I got my selection for that in I guess.

I'd like to have a long chat with the "suit" whose idea this all was, along with the suits who nodded and said "great idea!"
 
Yeah, I remember my first MM+ glitch.

Several people here reassured me that the system worked perfectly fine for them and everyone felt much better.
