How crowded will it be in early Nov?

We're arriving on Nov. 6 and most of what I've read has said it's one of the best times to visit. However, touringplans.com has the crowd level as pretty high (an 8 with 10 as most crowded) for the days we are there (we leave on Nov. 11). What should I really expect? I have one DS who is almost 4. We plan on doing MK for two days, then AK and a day to relax and visit Gatorland. Thanks!

It should be pretty crowded - NJ schools are closed on the 6th and 7th, so most of the entire state :lmao: flies to WDW. Make sure you get to the parks at rope drop, and you might want to follow a touring plan.

It's Jersey Week, the last week of f&w fest at Epcot, and Veterans Weekend. Definitely follow a touring plan.

We're arriving on the 12th so I hope most of the crowd is cleared out by then.

I'm one of the Jersey people bringing my kids while school is out, ;) however I've heard from many fellow Jerseyans that it isn't too bad that time of year. I'm bracing myself for bigger crowds, but hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised. We're also staying longer than the kids have off, so we'll still be there when the crowds thin out and it sounds as if you will be too for at least a day or two. I just keep telling myself it is still considered the slower season, so how bad can it be? I hope for both of our sakes it's ok.:thumbsup2

We have been during Jersey Week before. Crowds are higher then but not unbearable. If you have a plan you will be fine. Use fastpasses on the "big" attractions.

That's Jersey Week??? I've seen it in the titles of some other threads and always assumed it was some sports thing. :rotfl:

Good to know. We're planning a trip for next fall (Oct/early Nov). My kids don't have off (except one day for Columbus), so I assumed it would be less busy around that time. I guess I'm glad I looked at this thread.

Jersey kids have off from school for teacher conventions on Thursday and Friday during the week that election day falls every year. Schools vary on the days they will have off, with some being closed from election day through the end of the week and some even have off the following Monday for Veteran's Day with others just having off the 2 convention days. I'm thinking if you are including Columbus Day in your vacation time, you will probably miss the Jersey week crowds, since that falls around the middle of October. I notice on the touringplans.com crowd calendar that the crowds really only seem to predicted as larger for the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday part of Jersey week. Apparently, many people just fly down for the four day weekend. We're taking advantage of the long weekend too, but unlike the apparent majority, we're driving and staying longer since this is our first trip. So we'll be there after Jersey week as well.

I will be there next week.
I have also been before and not found the crowds to be a problem at all.

We went during the second week of November last year, and we didn't think it was bad. We normally go this time of year, usually October, because the crowds are much more manageable. Hope you have a blast!
