We will be there May 15-21. Will Fantasmic be really crowded? We are trying to decide if we should do the dinner package or not. We have two young kids, so we are hoping not to have a long wait in line to get into the show. Thanks!

I am going to WDW in May as well, and I can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I have gone to WDW in May in the past and each time that I have gone, I have gotten to the Fantasmic show about an hour and a half prior to showtime. And from what I have experienced, the gates are closed, because all the seats are filled one hour to 45 minutes prior to show time. Disney is really good about providing entertainment 30 minutes prior to showtime, and the kids just absolutely love it. It's a hilarious pre-show skit. I don't believe you will have a problem keeping your little ones busy.

Have fun!!

We were there last May - the first week - and walked in about 30 minutes early. There was plenty of room, and I don't think it was quite full even when the show started. We had no waits in May with the exception of the Playhouse Disney show. I think the crowds pick up around Memorial Day and after. Have fun.

Thanks K and K's Mommy. I was hoping it wouldn't be too crowded that time of year. Now I won't feel like we absolutely have to book the dinner package. We may end up booking it anyway, but only if we can get the restaurant and time that work for us.

We went to Fantasmic in mid May on a weeknight a couple years ago. I think we went in about 35 to 40 min before and got one of the last sections. Shortly after that, they started using the standing room areas in the back. There really isn't a line to wait in, it's a matter of getting a seat and waiting. I don't think they had any preshow entertainment the last time we went, usually someone will start "the wave".
