How crowded will Aug 27- Sept 3 be?

Labor Day is the 4th. That is Sun- Sun. I was going to go Aug 18-25 but then someone informed me that value starts on the 27. Will it be too crazy at this time? Should I pay the extra and still go the 18-25?

These are the numbers the Ultimate Guide online has based on a 1 to 10 scale with 10 being the most crowded. I would go later for slightly lighter crowds. I have heard that the crowds thin out closer to Sept.

We went the same week this past summer. Except for the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, our last day there, the crowd levels were pretty low. We used Fast Pass but mostly to ride the ride again right after we got off. Except for Soaring and Test Track there were very little wait times. Even on our last day we were able to ride Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mtn Railroad several times each.

The one thing that you do need to do is make sure you have ADR's if you plan table service meals. Despite the low crowds people were still being turned away without them, esp at character meals. Of course, the dining plan was free at that time so I'm sure that increased the number of people at the TS restaurants.

We find this week before Labor Day to be great for us no matter where we go on vacation because most of the country has gone back to school and crowd levels everywhere are lower and hotel prices cheaper.

We're looking at that going from 8/28 - 9/1 - I've never been down there in August/September. I've heard that it's slow then. Now I'm just hoping some kind of code or deal comes out!
