How crowded is the week of Thanksgiving?

How crowded is the week of Thanksgiving?We are planning a trip from the Saturday before Thanksgiving until the Friday after Thanksgiving. Has anyone been to WDW during that time frame? We will have a toddler with us so we were hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. My middle school age son has the entire week of Thanksgiving off so we thought it would be a great time to go without him missing school. I know that the Orlando area kids are in school up until Thanksgiving day, so hopefully those few days before will be less crowded. I'm sure the weekend after Thanksgiving will be crazy, that's why we are leaving on Friday!

We drove from CT a few years ago. We arrived on Sunday and left on black Friday. The crowds and weather were terrific until about Wednesday, then it was like the flood gates opened. We had always just winged it for dining and couldn't get in anywhere on Wednesday, it was kind of a bummer. We almost had Turkey legs, popcorn and frenchfries for out thanksgiving dinner. Figured it covered all the traditional food groups. We were thinking about going again this year. Good luck with your decision.
