How crowded is President's weekend?

Since it's a holiday weekend, we were thinking of staying at HRH to get fotl access. What kind of waits should we expect on rides? Which days will be least crowded? Do we need to make reservations at restaurants ahead of time? How long in advance can you do that? What kind of weather could we expect?

Geez, I'm just full of questions, aren't I???!!!??? I've never been to USF, so I don't quite know what to expect. I've been to Disney a bunch of times (which I absolutely adore), but decided to try out USF this trip. Do you all think I'll like it? I'm expecting it to be a lot more amusement-parkish than Disney... Is that an accurate assessment? Perhaps the pictures I've seen don't do it justice, but to me it doesn't look as atmospheric and picturesque as WDW. Any feedback on this would be much appreciated, especially by big Disney fans like me!!

Thanks, everyone!

With FOTL you have nothing to worry about. We went in July and thought there is no way this will work, the parks were packed. We waited 15 minutes at the most with FOTL access. It's awesome. We did Spiderman 4 times in 20 minutes!!!!!!

Anyway, I would make ressies for meals, just to make sure you get in. Any holiday weekend will be busier than normal.

Hope that helps.

Do you know how far in advance I could make reservations?? Also, how would you compare HRH with Disney's resorts? I noticed that you're staying at PBH during your next visit (happy anniversary, by the way!) -- is that your favorite resort of the 3 at Universal? Any feedback is appreciated!! :)

Thanks,
Sarah

Thanks for the congrats. I am so excited and can't wait to go back. I believe you can make reservations up to 3 months in advance. If that is wrong, someone will correct me. To be honest with you I have only stayed at RPH and loved it. I have however, toured the other two and the plan is to stay at all 3 by next summer. All three resorts are gorgeous. The RPH is supposed to be a moderate under Disney standards, but it is a premium in my opinion. The great thing at the Universal resorts is that you are getting 4 and 5 star resorts, but not paying out the ears to do so as it sometimes happens at Disney. The HRH is definitely a 4 and 1/2 star resort. It has a very ritzy feel when you walk in and the rooms look great too. I don't think you will be disappointed. And again, the FOTL access makes it all even better and worth GOLD in my opinion.

Hope that helps.
