I'm not that interested in soarin or test track during this time period. How is the rest of the park? We are looking at fri sept 4, and would be hopping there to eat dinner and stay for the evening. Our morning plans are in mk.

Given that it's Sept it won't be massively busy, but the WS seems to be popular for locals on a Friday night, plus the EMH people.

I'd go for it, you'll get to see stuff still, it's just a dead time of year anyway :)

Are you planning on staying after Illuminations to wander around the WS during EMH or are you just planning on dinner, Illuminations and then leaving? It will be more crowded than a non-EMH day, but it's still relative. I think most resort guests will concentrate on FW and the rides there. Locals, who can stay and shop/dine even during EMH may take advantage of those later hours on a Fri, making WS more crowded than a non-EMH, but you have more time to wander and enjoy.
