How crowded are MVMCP parties?

I was just wondering. I know no one probably has exact numbers of tickets sold for MVMCP, but if you've been to a sold out one, how crowded is it? How crowded are the rides? What are wait times like? Compare it to a certain time of year- October crowded, summer crowded, etc.? Also, can you get strollers for free at the parties? I thought I read that somewhere. Thanks!

I have tickets for the 20th and understand it's sold out. So I would like to know also what kind of crowds to expect.

We went to the party on Dec. 1, and I thought it was a bit crowded and it wasn't sold out. There were 60-75 minute waits on Pooh and Peter Pan, and the lines weren't really moving. Even It's a Small World had a long line. However, we rode Pirates of the Carribean and TTA several times with no wait.

I did notice that it seemed to be busier at the beginning, and seemed to lighten up at around 9 or 10.

We did our lst one on Dec. lst too and I thought it was pretty crowded. I base that on the lst show we wanted to see being standing room only, we decided not to stay and then we watched the lst parade and we were by the castle and across the street they were standing 6 rows deep, that is really crowded to me. We also had a huge line for the photo but it went pretty fast. My ds got the hot chocolate and cookies and they said the lines were huge for that too. We were so obsessed with seeing all the shows etc. we really didnt do the rides. We watched wishes right from the castle and it was great and the snow on main street going out was nice. I did notice lots of sleeping kids twoards the end of the night so that might be your best bet for doing rides when the crowds thin out etc. We watched the parade twice too.

We've been to sold out Christmas and Halloween parties and never felt like it was crowded. The parades and fireworks can feel crowded, but if you are staying the whole time, just wait to go on those rides with the long lines. They usually end up 10 min. at some point. Like I said, we've been to sold out parties and still didn't wait more than 10 min. for any ride, and that includes the popular ones. Sometimes there is just a rush for those rides, but if you wait they thin out. Especially later in the night. Now, this year during the Halloween party I think Peter Pan stayed pretty busy (not sold out night) and we may not have ridden it during the party because every time we checked it was busy, but I don't really remember. Usually, they are little to no wait - even when sold out.

Thank you everyone for your replies! :flower: I just bought our tickets for the 15th! I am so excited and I can't contain it. I didn't think we would be going again until September, but we've decided to go to the party on our way down to my DH's mom's house!

We are going to surprise DD 6 and DS 4 and appear to just decide on a whim to go to Disney World for the night! :wizard: They are going to be so excited!

It's going to be a long day with the 8 hour drive before the party, but we always do Disney commando anyway and stay at a park from open til close, so I'll be more rested spending the day sitting and napping in the car instead of walking the parks all day and then staying on until midnight.

Thanks again!

Jennifer

Sometimes on party nights the park looks real busy but the rides are walk on.We did a tuesday night party last year the weather was cold and the crowd was real light. This past october did the halloween party on a thursday night park seemed packed but little wait for the rides.

We just got home from tonight's MVMCP. It was very crowded on and around Main Street. Other areas didn't seem bad. We got to the park early. Around 5:30pm we were able to walk right on to several rides in Fantasyland and Haunted Mansion.
