Planning our late August trip (since we can now make ADRs), and I was wondering if it would be insane (crowd-wise) to go to Typhoon Lagoon on a Saturday? Want to do the 10 am hula lesson at the Poly (tradition), and thought then we'd skip over to the water park. Please share your thoughts.

TIA :sunny:

My family went last June on a Saturday and had no problems. It was the first weekend in June so I don't know if this made a difference in the numbers of people. DH,DD,and her friend had a ball!!

Hi neighbor,

Going to a water park in the summer and not arriving till 11-ish means that there will be long lines for all the slides by the time you get there.

If you want to do the slides I'd suggest you go on another day when you can get there at opening time, then stay for a few hours until the lines get long.

Enjoy!

Bob

I don't think you will have too much of a problem. We always go end of August because most of the South is back in school. We have even gone to the waterparks in mid afternoon with no problem.

In re to the Hula lesson at the Poly what is that all about. Never heard anything about that before. Would like to try something different on this trip.
Thanks.

Two years ago we went to Typhoon Lagoon on a Saturday, and it was the first Saturday in June. The crowds actually weren't too bad.
