Family trip is being decided upon and fourth of July week is a possibility. Is it nuts to consider this week. Planning to do a three or four day at the parks, other days go to Disney springs and resorts for dinner. The heat is not a problem really for us. But I do not want to be in wall to wall chaos.

The weekend before the Fourth will be really busy. The rest of the week will be heavy. And we will be there. It's the only time we could fit in a vacation this year.

If possible, I would choose a later date.

We were there for a week last July 4th & I was surprised at how mellow the parks were. Granted we get to the parks in the AM & then leave after lunch for a pool break but the parks really were not crowded at all, they weren't empty by any means but they weren't bursting at the seams either. The only 2 times it felt like wall to wall people was July 3 (night) at Disney Springs & July 4 at Epcot right before Illuminations. Both those days it was just crowded at night, daytime was fine & the rest of the week was smooth sailing. Enjoy your trip!

We went over the 4th in 2016 also - it wasn't bad crowd-wise at all and we usually go during "low" times. It was however extremely hot and humid...! My husband was so hot by the time we got back to the room he wouldn't even join me in the pool - just wanted the break in a/c!
