I find that we always just KNOW when someone or something is somehow special.

You're right, if it's a special Trader, I probably DO know them. And I would like to see all the most special people obtain this pin.

I'm thrilled that my pin has already inspired several people to share stories with me of extraordinary people.

While I cannot say the reward for being a special person (or being told about one) will be a Scoop pin, I hope the rewards for special acts will always be something greater.

Please continue to share stories of pin magic, and I believe the rewards will be many. And yes, one may even be a pin.

When people ask for a Scoop pin (or to be a Parade Grand Marshall, or any other magical opportunity) a good piece of advice is " The best way for it to happen is for you not to be expecting it." So go forth and have fun. Good stuff will happen.

I try to go through Pinpics at the end of everyday and see what new pins were added to put on my wants list. I was VERY excited to see your pin there after seeing the initial ideas and prototypes, and immediately added it to my wants list.

We pin people thinking it's a special pin and all wanting it, pretty much goes without saying....... the fact that Disney agrees that you deserve a special pin for all the good you bring to pin trading is awesome! Congratulations Scoop! It's nice to know Disney agrees with what we've known all along.

That pin is adorable! It's pretty obvious that I am new here, and even newer to anything pertaining to pins; I discovered all of this while I was researching a trip to WDW with kids and grandkidlets next September. But I just had to jump in here and comment. Sorry if that's not the thing to do.

Thanks for the welcome! I think I am already completely hooked on these things; I have TONS of older ones for them to trade with and I have gotten several from the Disney Store (I have to get six; one for each of them to trade and one to keep) My husband keeps looking at the stacks of pins and shaking his head; he KNOWS that I am going to end up collecting for myself (and them). And we aren't going until September.

Is Scoop somebody who is at WDW in person? Like I said, all of this is so new to me.

Pam first off Welcome. Older Pins trade really well. I wish that I had gotten the older Figments back when I was there so long ago.. Not to trade just to keep because now I have no hopes of having these..HEHE

Scoop Sanderson is indeed a character at Magic Kingdom down at WDW. He works for the Main Street Gazette if you go to this link there is an article there that talks about Scoop written by well him.. HEHE

Thanks Figgy! That was very interesting reading.

I don't know that these older pins will be that interesting; I bought lots (even though they are real Disney pins) on eBay. They are cute pins, but I doubt there is any intrisic value there. I just thought I would give them something to play with.

After seeing the initial drawings of your pin in September when Trina and I were there, I was very impressed. Now seeing pictures of the finished pin, I am speechless. Rarely does a pin represent something as special as this one does. You and the Disney artists have captured your personality and the goodness you show everyone. It is a perfect example of what is right with the world. Everyone who has met you has been changed for the better. To be able to share your warm personality and trade these shiny pieces of metal to commemorate our friendship is something rare and magical. Congratulations on a wonderful pin. When Trina and I next make our way eastward, I am coming looking for you. I want to hear all about how you felt when you first saw your pin in person. Then I want you to tell me all the wonderful stories of when you handed each one of them out to friends and guests. That is an adventure story I don't want to miss. There is nothing more magical than designing a pin and sharing it with those you love and care about. Take care my friend, this could not have happened to a greater person.
