How comfortable are pull-out couches?

My sisters, my Mom and I are going to disney in August for a quickie (4 night) weekend trip. Right now I have 2 Value studios booked. I'm just wondering, how comfy are the beds on the pull-out couch? Should I maybe consider OKW instead since they have two Queen beds?

I was also thinking of trying to get into BWV, are those sofa-beds any more or less uncomfortable?

Thanks!

We're staying at BWV tomorrow and friends are planning on staying on the couch. We should have an answer soon! :)

We stayed at SSR over Christmas! I slept on the pull-out sofa with DD12 for 6 nights and had no problem at all! And I have a Sleep Comfort bed at home. It certainly wasn't that comfy but it was pretty decent especially for a 4 night stay.

Have a blast!

I've slept on the pull out many times at BWV, as I let DD and DSIL have the bedroom when we stay in a one bedroom. I've never had any problems and slept just great!

The BWV sleepers are so comfortable and well designed that a friend staying with us actually asked a CM where she could call to order one, alas there are no tags or info on the sleepers and he tried but could get no where.

OKW/AKV Jambo have a different design but they are comfortable as well, long gone are the sleepers with the bar in the middele of your back. Thank Goodness!

We just came back from VWL and the sleeper there was great. No bar and very comfortable. I also liked that the cushions did not have to come off of the couch they stayed on them when it was a bed.

I slept on the sleeper sofa at AKV, OKW, VWL, and SSR. I did not think that any of the sofas were comfortable. I need a bed to sleep in to be completely comfortable. But since we are not willing to spend the points to get a 2 bedroom at this time, I found a solution: I need two pillows underneath my head and there are always at least 4-5 pillows in the master bedroom. I take all of the pillows I can, (leaving my mother with just 1 pillow) and I line them underneath my body. This does help quite a bit since it provides an extra layer. If you don't think the sofa is comfortable, try this method.

I've slept on the sleeper sofa in AKV and BWV and found them very comfortable.

It has been reported that housekeeping will provide an egg crate mattress pad to be placed under the sheet if you need a softer surface on the pull out couch. One of these should help a little.

I have a problem with beds that are too firm. DH and I stayed in a studio at BLT last December, and after trying to sleep in the bed for two nights, I tried out the sofa bed. After you were in if for a bit, it became quite comfy. Most of them are memory foam type now. I slept much better on that than the bed!

We stayed at SSR as well at Christmas and Dh and DS slept on one for 7 nights w/o any problems at all.

In the rooms with the twin bed oversized chairs...they are god for my young kids! Perfect actually.

As for the sofa, that one is comfortable as well.

I guess I'm the minority but I've found both the pull-outs at BWV and BLT to be incredibly hard and uncomfortable. I sleep on my side normally and took a nap on our last trip when we stayed at BLT. I woke up in terrible pain. My shoulder felt numb. The pull out chair was equally awful.

However, in fairness, my son is 11 and slept just in the pull-out chair and my wife and youngest slept fine in the pull-out. I guess they are easier to please. There is no way I would have made it through even a single night on the pull-outs.

I've slept on the sofa at SSR and thought it was perfectly comfortable. I'll be going to VWL in Nov. and can't wait to try that one! :goodvibes

I sleep on my side, too, and love the pull out couches. My guests think I'm being a kind hostess but I actually find the pull out more comfy than the bed.

I don't know what my problem is?? I think I'd prefer the floor to the pull-outs. Glad most seem to find them acceptable. I guess I'm just a sissy.
