How close together can your ADRs be?

I thought I read somewhere that you cannot make an ADR less than 2 hours apart? I need to make a breakfast and a lunch and then I will cancel one before we leave. We are having trouble deciding when to leave on our last day.

I haven't heard of a specific time limit. Might I suggest that you decide when to leave, then make the ressie for the actual time that you'll need?

There's a dis urban legend regarding this but I don't think there is really an actual rule.

With that said, you do realize that my making a reservation you have no intention of using, you are depriving another family of having the opportunity to make that reservation at their ADR mark. Because people continue to do stuff like this, there are many rumors that Disney will finally go to credit card holds on every restaurant.

True, but let's cut the OP some slack, she said she'd cancel one before she left.

I personally don't find anything wrong w/ having a few ADRs that u are unsure if you'll use. As long as u cancel them and let someone else take the space- you're not taking anything away from anyone.
The way I see it- if I end up canceling- even the day before or day of- I'll open up the space for someone who is trying to get a last minute adr. Last minute folks are no less important than us hyper planners :-)

Whenever I have to cancel, I always find someone on the disboards to give it to. We had to cancel a December trip and I was able to give a character dinner reservation to a family on a make a wish trip for their child. I was so excited for them to have that experience! I had a lot of fun giving out ADRs to other Disers.
